WA beaches sand mode

Last minute decision to get out of the Seattle wildfire smoke and enjoy an extremely rare 81 degree day at Washington ocean beaches.
Headed to Westport for lunch followed by beach time with the dogs. Mainly on Grayland beach down to what's left of North Cove.
R1T performed flawlessly on the sand. Tried sand mode and drift for some power turns. Beach was very soft sand the further south we headed with fewer and fewer vehicles most with visible recovery boards out.

Last minute decision to get out of the Seattle wildfire smoke and enjoy an extremely rare 81 degree day at Washington ocean beaches.

I've been hoping to do exactly that since the smoke rolled in weeks ago. It would have required my taking delivery before my estimated window, as many others have with their R1Ts this summer. But I stuck with OC and I don't anticipate having any regrets. I'll get mine near the start of my window.

My current vehicle has unlimited free Supercharging but I still can't be bothered to take it out much. The roads here aren't fun for such a low, stiff ride. Plus I'm trying to preserve resale value, since the R1T is super expensive even with pre-order pricing.

These kinds of threads are giving me great ideas for how to stress test my truck, especially in the first few days. Thank you!

I love it. This is where I went also. We went past the habitat protection area and even went though the dunes there that had patches of grass around them. Do you have more pics?

Wasn't very good about taking pics this trip.
The sand was different than any other time out there. With the offshore winds the dry sand was blowing all the way to the surf

I think you and I hit the 2 warmest weekends there. It was upper 70s and east wind. Too windy for kites. But great for some rivian fun. Haha
