I desperately need a truck by December. I ordered my Rivian on Nov 29th 2018, so I'm fairly early. I am moving to Florida and have a small trailer that I have to take down with me. I don't think I'll see my Rivian before next year based on the production numbers we've seen, so I started looking around.
Guess what, I just ordered me a 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid! Yes a small truck that gets 44MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway, so about 40 MPG on average. Here's the big surprise, it only costs $20,000! I added a few minor options including a power moon roof and it came to $22,800 including delivery!
My plan is to sell it when my Rivian finally makes it. So yeah, I no longer have anxiety over when my truck will get here and my move to Florida.
