"Charge" could mean a lot of things.
Like “How much is Rivian charging you for heated seats?”

In a discussion about battery, or charging, or regen, or range, or power delivery I say “I was at 50% _charge_”. Totally unambiguous. And I’d argue I t’s superfluous to say “state of charge”.

“What % charge were you at when you started?” - what am I asking about here? Static charge on my body? The charge percentage of the charger’s price per kilowatt?

Anyway, I’m not sure why you’re keen on going at it with me, but I’ll continue if you like.

In my industry it’s Security Operations Center, so there’s quite a few definitions.
Wait until you combine them!

"What's the state of charge on that system on a chip in our security operations center?"

"Oh, you mean the one plugged in to the Peripheral Component Interconnect slot, that manages the Payment Card Industry compliance on our Pulverized Coal Injection sales site?"

Technically it is referred to State of Energy in the vehicle systems, so feel free to use SOE instead :)
