Will all Rivians start as 2022 Model Year?

Don't know when you placed your order, so I assume your order is not from 2018. I remember that Rivian initially said in Nov 2018, that deliveries might start as soon as the end of 2019, with the likely hood being early 2020, implying 2020 models.
That soon changed to "sometime 2020". That soon became "End of 2020".
The price initially was $60,000. That soon became "$60,000 Before the $7500 government tax rebate", so assuming a price tag of $67,500. Rivian conveniently rounded that up to $69,000.
So that's where the $69,000 price tag came from. So now early in 2020.
Then came covid and gave Rivian a convenient excuse to delay 6 months!
Nobody else delayed 6 months, not Tesla, not Ford, not Gm, nobody.
So Rivian has delayed so many times it's no longer even an issue for me.
I do believe we will get a premium vehicle that has been thoroughly tested and will be a blast to drive.
I can only imagine all the issues and problems Rivian has endured, all I know is that I cannot wait for mine, and knowing Rivian did the right thing by doing it right!
