Many thanks to everyone who replied. I've decided to by a used R1T from Rivian, and found a Limestone Dual with a Max battery pack. It was a little higher in cost than I initially wanted to spend, but I realized that my initial goals were, perhaps, a bit unrealistic.

In any case - I'm hopefully on the path to ownership!



The lack of leasing in Minnesota seems to limit the supply of used R1Ts that are for sale.

I'd like to buy (cash) a used 2022-24 R1T with either a Large or Max battery pack. I'd prefer 30,000 or fewer miles, but I'm squishy on that and might be convinced to go a bit higher for the right price. I'm not particular on exterior or interior color. A tonneau cover would be nice, but not necessary. I'm in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, but am willing to 'fly and drive' if there is a decent regional airport near the seller, and they'd be willing to pick me up so I can save some money on shuttles and/or Ubers.

I'm planning to by at the end of this month (May, 2025). I have a trip planned for the middle of the month, but will be ready to move forward with a purchase after the 25th.

So I've got two R1Ts, one 2022 Launch Green Launch Edition and a 2024 Adventure edition, El Cap Granite, Black Mountain interior, fully loaded, off road package, with full Stealth PPF that I honestly bought to see if I liked it better than my Launch Edition. I've had it for just under a year, and has about 7500 miles on it. I'd be willing to sell this one and keep the launch edition. KBB lists value at $70,000 to $76,000. I also had the windows ceramic tinted and also ceramic coating over the PPF, which was another $2,500 or so. That being said, let me know if you're interested at all and we'll go from there. I need to be in Chicago (which means driving back up from Charlotte, NC) later this month, and then need to actually go to Chetek, WI (about 2 hours from MPLS) to pick up some family furniture to bring back to my son's condo in Chicago. If interested, it may be possible to do some exchange near Chetek (Eau Claire) and i can Uhaul the furniture back. Let me know you're interest and we'll go from there. This is a Quad Motor. Sticker price was $95,500.

If you are interested in leasing, I spoke to a guide a few weeks ago… he said that you can lease in a state without leasing available, you just have to pickup the car in a state with leasing. I didn’t get further than that as the leasing is more than I want to spend right now…
