I tried offset +18 for my winter tires. They threw up a lot of mud and gravel along the side of the truck and over the mirror. I put on the TWraps mud guards and it helped but then my suspension warning light came on so I swapped out to +48 offset wheels from 1ev. It didn't solve the problem so took it in for service and they said I had a bent pin which was replaced and things have been good since. I have read that the wrong offset can increase bearing wear. Why the pin got bent I don't know.

This is what I followed in purchasing a second set of wheels for my R1T:

Size
20x8.5
Offset
+48mm
Bolt pattern
5x5.5
Hub
64.1 mm

Not sure why you would need or want to deviate substantially from the stock offset, but I would think doing so would be asking for trouble. Much additional information to be found in the various threads on tires & wheels in the Forum.

My google-foo is failing me and I am looking to find the minimum offset needed to fit a 2023 R1t Quad.

I am looking at this rim:
https://www.canadawheels.ca/replika-wheels/r220-gloss-black-w116986?currentselectedvehicle=222800

Size: 20x9
PCD: 5x139.7
Load index: 2750
Offset: 18

I also could not find offset discussed in my forum search but I have seen various numbers tossed around.

Thanks for the help

Danny
That's basically the same as my wheels with 275/60R20 and they do just fine. Some folks go up to 65 and do fine too.

Because there are no affordable options in Canada for a factory speced rim.

Tire Rack has some reasonably priced wheels that are exactly Rivian spec, and they ship to Canada. Obviously there are shipping and duty costs, but it may be worth exploring that option.
