Price is high, but high oil prices & tariffs are part of the story. But don't expect prices to go down when those situations resolve themselves. Remember tariffs don't just increase prices on imported items. Some domestic producer is being protected and they raise prices to the import plus tariff price. Look at steel as an example.

It's a ready made solution for premium priced vehicle for those who don't want to be bothered. Every Rivian branded accessory or part is priced like a premium product so nothing shocking here.

You could always go find your own aftermarket one that fits or just live without one.

Yeah, it's reasonable even in the context of aftermarket, something like a Modern Spare product in a full kit (wheel/tire, tools, jack, bag) generally runs over $500.

Compressor is not included. You can buy portable compressors from any auto parts store, or home improvement store, or Harbor Freight, Amazon, Walmart, etc.. You can spend as little as $30 or over $300 for a high quality, high volume one from a specialty off-roading store (i.e. ARB).

The Rivian mobility kit, in the Gear Shop, which includes a canister of sealant, also includes a small compressor. Similar kits are also available all over the internet and at stores mentioned above. Also at various price points.
