Thank goodness for you sir. The first high quality with lighting photo I've seen of the coastal cloud interior. LOVE that coastal cloud is more light grey than white!

It is very similar to the R1. I'd say it is more of a stone color than anything. Not white at all specially compared to Tesla's offering. If you want gray, you'll be happy with Rivian's light interior.

There is an iPad casting a shadow on the Coastal swatches. The seating material is not dark gray.

The dark color is not really black, more of a dark gray like the R1 is.

This looks pretty black to me personally. If we want to split hairs and call it "dark charcoal grey" instead of "black" than sure. But it's certainly very dark and will seem just like black IMO in the hot sun. Not the trim pieces below, the leather seat color.

I agree, it is pretty dark but if you have had a black interior you will notice this is not that in person. I’ve had black in a Tahoe and a Jeep, I thought the R1 was black as well until I saw it in person.

We were able to spend a couple hours in the R2. Black Crater Signature may be more blue-black than Black Mountain. Indoor lighting probably didn't help, though.

Black Crater Signature appears lighter here in direct light.

So there’s no wood trim in the lowest-end interior. What part of it is white? I guess there’s no Standard trim on display yet.

So you can either get a dark gray interior or wait until the end of the year and get a light gray interior?

Man, I wish they had warm brown or tan as an alternative, or just a warmer wood trim. Maybe in the tri-motor? I can’t afford that though.

It's the "beach vibe" version. Ocean color outside, sand color inside. That is my head cannon anyway lol

Certainly my top pick but I doubt I'd be willing to wait for it. If my number gets called up earlier I think I'll go launch green with black crater. I feel like these will be the two most likely combinations to begin with outside of the esker silver and black crater free options.

Agreed on LE green for those early in line. I don't think everyone is going Catalina Cove but I think a lot of people are waiting for coastal cloud interior. Side benefit for us waiting is everyone who gets LE will only get black interior haha. Won't see many coastal clouds around until into 2027 likely.
