Depends on the system you use and what year your vehicle is. On UniFi, my 2022 shows as u-blox AG.Does anyone know what a Rivian appears as on a home WiFi network? My Tesla appears as Tesla, but despite the fact my Rivian is connected to the network, nothing appears as "Rivian". Does it appears under a different name?
I've not seen that, but it really depends on how your system fingerprints a device. Many simply use the MAC but, with randomized MACs, it is possible for any device to have any MAC.Can it appear as Samsung-Galaxy? I have no android products in my house but my network shows Samsung-Galaxy connected.
Yes, mine appears as a galaxyCan it appear as Samsung-Galaxy? I have no android products in my house but my network shows Samsung-Galaxy connected.
My 2026 R1S is showing as Samsung-Galaxy. I don't have a Murata Manufacturing on my WiFi.Gen 1 shows as U-box AG. They provided the Wifi and Bluetooth components to Rivian in Gen 1. Rivian changed for Gen 2 and is supplied by Murata Manufacturing which shows as the Wifi device on your network for gen 2. Depending upon your router, you may be able to change the display name on your router.
your product maybe incorrectly identifying the R1.Can it appear as Samsung-Galaxy? I have no android products in my house but my network shows Samsung-Galaxy connected.
The WIFI and Bluetooth components in gen 2 are from Murata and are the default device name that shows on a network, Rivian does not override this. However, within some routers the display name can be changed by user. More likely in your case. assuming you did not change the name, Murata is using Samsung chips to build the components, which is overriding the Murata component default name.My 2026 R1S is showing as Samsung-Galaxy.
