Here are mostly new and some lightly-used parts for Rivian R1S and R1T (and maybe R2?). Items include:​

• Various aftermarket metal frames, silicone back-plates, security bolt/screws, and bolt/screw-covers for front and rear license plates (new)
• Four Jack Puck adhesive marking emblems (help ensure Rivian is lifted using the right spots)
• I believe I have a Brain Exploder tow hook mounting kit; darned if I can find it. I will keep looking.

Price guidelines are included in Image Number 3. I am hoping to sell these locally (e.g., Sacramento and San Francisco Bay areas). While shipping is possible, keep in mind that shipping these days is expensive (for you) and inconvenient (for me). To avoid all that, please try to live in one of those two areas.

My understanding is that the Gen 2 key fob button will work with either a Gen 2 R1S hatchback or a Gen 2 R1T tonneau cover. But, I have not confirmed that personally.

Thanks for writing. Just for the record, I paid $250 plus tax for each fob. Sent directly from Rivian. Never used; never programmed. One is still in the unopened Rivian mailing package. So my fob price is firm--still a savings for a potential buyer.

Totally understood, and no pressure. I'm of the mind set that I just don't need one, but would be interested if they ever become significantly cheaper.

Followup Number 1: Here is more information about the 3-D printed front license plate mount.

It is actually quite clever.

A. The mount is made of two pieces of 3D-printed plastic. They fit together (using bolts and nuts not supplied), clamping around a front tow hook.

B. The mount assembly fits behind the stock, OEM, Rivian plastic front license plate mount. (Some more hardware needed.)

C. There are three plastic "clamps" that fit into the three slots visible in photos A and B. Obviously, four screws or bolts are necessary to affix the license plate to the front of the Rivian mount.

D. This odd-perspective, sideways photo shows the space intended to clamp around a front tow hook.

Note: You would need to buy (security) hardware and have a Rivian OEM plastic front LP mount in order to complete this installation.

Followup Number 2: Here are more photos of the Amazon no-drill front license plate mount. Thanks to assistance from @Robot Overlord it makes more sense, now.

Photos 1-4. This mount comes in two pieces, with hardware included. This is now the correct way (I hope) that the mount fits together. (There were no instructions.)

Photo 5. Note the padding at the bottom of the upper piece.

Photos 6-8. Bolts are supplied to (a) attach the license plate to the oddly-shaped plate, (b) attach the plate to the mount, and (c) to tighten the mount against something (e.g., the grill?).

Experienced R1 owners with a vehicle handy may be able to explain installing this assembly better than me. I assume this mount is intended for the center of the front bumper area (and has nothing to do with the tow hooks).

The frame says "Adventure Awaits."

Followup Number 3: Today (6/4/26) I visited the Rivian Service Center in West Sacramento, California.* I brought them two Rivian Key Bands I am selling in to be evaluated. Using the Key Band ID numbers (on the bands) and the Rivian computer system staff there determined:

• Both ZZ____ numbered Key Bands are not presently paired to any (Rivian) vehicle.
• So both are ready to be paired to a Gen 1 (suggested) R1 vehicle.
• To do so, a Rivian vehicle owner would call Rivian at 855-748-4265.
• They may also be able to be paired to (though possibly function somewhat less quickly with) Gen 2 R1 vehicles.

That is about the best I can do in terms of verifying the authenticity and status for these Key Bands.

* BTW, for those in northern California I was told that for the time being the brand new Rivian facility off of Interstate 80 in Rocklin, California will handle all/most sales, deliveries, and demo drives for the general Sacramento area. West Sac will be for service only (though that may change depending on customer feedback).
