Appreciate the writeup - I'm a dummy with cars so I appreciate the explanation.“Rides better” is subjective and not necessarily “rough” or “smooth”
I drove the R2 then the R1S. I felt the R2 was “harsh” and the R1S was “smooth”, however the R2 was 100% more in tune with the road where the R1S sort of just floated. I almost equate this to driving a sports sedan, ie BMW M3 vs 5/7 series.
And both the R1 and R2 are exceptional at eliminating body roll but accomplish it in entirely different manners.
If one prefers handling ”on rails” with the ability to feel the road and that is “riding better” this is the R2. If you want a long haul cruiser then this leans more to the R1. Both models “can do“ either.

I know you said "prefer" on the part of "on rails" handling but there's absolutely no way the R2 can provide that. R2 suspension is designed to go off-road as well as on-road so it is an all-around performer. If you prefer on rails handling, better look else where. Porsche Macan EV would be best bet.If one prefers handling ”on rails” with the ability to feel the road and that is “riding better” this is the R2. With the R1, optional accessories like crossbars and all weather floor mats usually are drop shipped, and will arrive in the mail after you get your vehicle. I expect this to be the same for the R2.Yes, it comes with floor mats (if that's what you meant). The adapter should arrive by mail. I did not have to order anything.
Absolutely would NOT disagree with that. Having staggered wheels and better tires helps too.I know you said "prefer" on the part of "on rails" handling but there's absolutely no way the R2 can provide that. Would you do me a favor and measure the distance from the edge of the rear seats folded down to the lip of the rear door when it’s closed? I’m 6 feet tall (72”) and I wanted to see if I could lie down in the back to use the R2 for car camping. A few YouTubers that were over 6 feet tall said they didn’t fit unless they were lying diagonally. Thanks.I'll post some updated shots next week once it's back from a full stealth ppf job.

Thanks. You just saved me $7,200!Also, just a quick note about matte PPF. I did it one one my R1S's. I love the look but won't do it again.
That vehicle unfortunately needed some body repair (I have a long thread about that incident and process). Once fixed and paint blended I think 3 panels were gloss and needed PPF again (and ceramic re-applied on top of the new PFF). Vehicle looked really funky for a while and I had considered removing all the old PPF. Had it been clear PPF, I may have left it as is since it's hard to tell the difference.
That same vehicle also recently needed the driver's door handle replaced so I had to get matte PPF again. Thankfully I was able to buy some door handle PPF from @twraps and re-apply the film myself. I'm also going to DIY ceramic just the handle since the rest of the car has ceramic.
TLDR: Matte/stealth looks great but is a pain in the ass in case of body repair. Love the look but I personally won't be doing it again.
