Treehouse RTT Rooftop Tent spotted on R2

One of the unique features of the Treetop tent was that it would have internal power, taken from the R2 cross bars. But Rivian scrapped the crossbars-with-power feature, so now the Treetop is just a nice tent.

I hadn't seen that detail, but that would have been neat! A little sketchy though, as I get nervous even about track lights

It appears it is still powered though, you just need to run a cord to the car's AC port (or the V2L adapter).

I'm aware. That's the exact same prototype Borealis/Coastal Cloud R2 that's in the OP's picture - it's been shown around the country for a while now, and was in the SXSW videos too. It always had the tent, and I've never seen the tent on a different R2.

I first saw that tent prototype in 2024. There has not been any additional information released since then. Right now the tent is just a product concept, not an actual product.

I would say every product is a concept product until it is actually released to the public; which Rivian states will happen next year as TobyRingle initially told you. Please don't ask me for a source......
