I wonder if the alleged October end date for Launch edition means RAP1+lidar follows right after. I can’t imagine buying one without the new hardware in a month or two gap where you don’t get all the included LE stuff.

It seems like a current joke in the auto industry. It feels like EVERYTHING is getting here in the fall. I was also considering the BMW ix3 and the Volvo EX60 and guess what? Was told September-October for those too, same as my R2 window.

If anyone needs an EV this summer, they are SOOL.

A bit surprised to see 2-4 weeks for me. "As fast as possible" reservation, four year owner R1T owner now with a R1S as well, 2.5 hours between service centers, no Rivian presence in my state, not even a charger

For context: I am an R1 owner since 8/22/22, put my R2 deposit in within the first 30 minutes on March 7, 2024, and live about 70 miles from a SC. I also opted in for the Launch Edition.

I have the same message. R1S owner since October 23, 40 miles from service/demo center, opted in for launch edition and placed reservation within 40 minutes on March 7, 2024.

It's not as bad as I was expecting since I missed the day one reservation window. Not a current Rivian owner, no lease on my current vehicle, about 15 minutes from the nearest service center, selected that I am interested in the launch edition.

Mine says 2-4 weeks. I enjoyed my test drive, but see no urgent need to replace my R1S so I'll be holding off for a bit.
