Interesting at 1:24:00 when asked about the drink opening only going up two thirds of the way and then being pushed by hand to fully open. Jeff said that was an anomaly and it should fully open - I thought I had heard differently because each vehicle I have seen does the two thirds opening.

I'm so glad to hear that they're going to have an update soon for the turn signal sound (they admit they messed up). Also that they're going to make some improvements to the function of the haptic halo wheels, based on early feedback.

The one I test drove and the one in the showroom both opened fully, so they may have a batch of bad struts for the ones that don't fully open..

Can happen with struts, hood alignment, temp, etc.. Most cases lubricant fixes it.

Your loss. Just finished watching the whole hour and a half. It was a frank discussion with Jason holding their feet to the fire on topics like CarPlay and the electronic door latch decision. There’s also great insight into suspension tuning, aero, tradeoffs they made during the design process and disagreements they had about features during the development process (including the axed pop-out quarter windows).

This was the most “real” discussion that I’ve seen on the R2, where everything else felt like PR flagellation.

Not everything can be whittled down to a 5 minute sound bite for the ADHD crowd, and this video definitely isn’t for them.
