Bottom line

Three new VINs appeared in today’s pull. Two were Launch Green builds, and two had 21” all-season wheels. The vehicles are headed to California, Washington and Texas.

Launch Green appears to be moving in the current factory batch, while California remains the largest observed destination. Existing R1 owners received two of today’s three VINs, but the cumulative owner split remains essentially even.

Verification: The state counts reconcile to 63 unique VIN-assigned orders.

The strongest signal is the concentration of Catalina Cove builds with 21” all-season wheels. Four of the five new VINs have that exact exterior and wheel combination.

All five new VIN recipients placed their R2 orders on June 16 or June 17. That suggests the June 16-17 order group is currently seeing meaningful movement, although the sample is still small.

The VINs are being routed across Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, Alabama and California, so this does not appear limited to one geographic delivery region.

None of the five new VINs has an exact delivery date yet. Two have 4-8 week windows, while three remain unknown or TBD. This suggests VIN assignment is currently moving faster than final delivery scheduling.

How are folks able to schedule delivery so far in advance? My car is at the SC getting a pre-delivery inspection as of Friday but I still don’t have the option to pick a delivery date/time.

The only things I have left in the todo list otherwise are insurance and payment, and I’m assuming I don’t have to do either of those before I have a date.

The service center scheduled it for me. I didnt really get a say. They said thats the earliest given when the vehicle arrives. I only got the VIN and date last week

It seems the communication from the SC, the cadence of VINs being issued and deliveries being scheduled, are completely inconsistent from customer to customer.
