Interesting turn of events. Just got an email from Rivian stating my delivery has been canceled because my VIN was changed. Logged into the account and sure enough, no more VIN attached to the account. I assume I will need to re-do all the pre-purchase steps I had done.

When mine got canceled I only had to sign the new purchase agreement with the new VIN

If you are using outside financing you need to redo the whole loan with updated vin, promissory note and a new check.

Well, get this. I have a new VIN, it's even lower, ending in 1035. Went from 2087 to that. I wonder if someone rejected the delivery of that VIN or if there is some odd logistics related matter here. Either way, I am awaiting rescheduling of the delivery now.

Probably an original employee order that was cancelled. I received VIN X1003 and was told upon delivery that it was an employee cancellation.

Got my invite today (6:49am PST) and immediately ordered a Launch Green with 20" AT wheels! For those tracking invites, I received a 2-4 week window on 6/30, I have a 2023 Tesla MYP lease expiring on 9/15, and I live within 10 miles of the Tempe, AZ, Service Center. No delivery estimate yet.

Just over two hours later I received

We are getting your vehicle ready for production. When your R2 is assigned a vehicle identification number (VIN), you’ll be able to complete the purchasing experience and schedule your delivery.

Last I checked, my order estimate was August/September. I reserved on 3/7/24 and I'm not a previous owner. Pretty close to a service center.

I ordered the same configuration 2 weeks ago and pickup in Tempe AZ. No vin yet
