I have today off, and I had all these lofty goals for errands that were going to get done this afternoon. Now I'm just sitting here wearing out F5...
If you're trading in either of your cars, would be great if you could share that part of the experience. I haven't decided which car of ours is getting traded in yet, but it will be one of them and also cross-shopped against the main internet buyers. Hope Rivian makes that part somewhat easy and close enough pricing to make it an easy decision.

In any case, good luck with the next 8 steps!

Good to see a Seattle/Washington delivery. I hadn’t heard any progress had been made on direct to consumer sales, so I’ve wondered if we might see delays here.

I shared the experience so far over in this thread. Will definitely post a summary of the whole process when we figure out how to complete it.

God... This would be like running a marathon.

You spend months and months training, (ordered the R1T in 2019) and building up excitement for race day. Then the race starts, (get your first notice of delivery) and you know the finish line is there, but still far away. At the 13.1 mile mark they tell you that you're getting closer (but the date has now changed to November)...then you hit mile 20 and CRASH into a wall (They tell you your cost just went up 20 grand) and you don't think you can make it.
Then, you break thru that...get past mile 26 and can see the finish line ... and they say ... WAIT!!!!

OMG, you just can't make this up.

(Hopefully my attempt at humor worked...)

Similar to getting ready for a raid. We all scramble and hurry to get ready ... to wait. And when the moment finally arrives to launch the attack, the server crashes ? (What, I heavily played Everquest for a long time. Don't judge! :p hehe).

No progress legally. They're allowed to operate a service center but not to have a sales presence. This is why it's essential the purchase happen online/interstate.

LOL. I already regret asking, but in this analogy, what is the Rivian equivalent of bleeding nipples?

We can’t take one more calamity this week.

First cancellations, then cancelled cancellations, now constipation.

Hang in there man.

It's working again now. I got my official Rivian email "It's time to complete your purchase...." Once I clicked that link, everything seemed to work perfectly. Delivery is scheduled for Monday Mar 7!!

Woo-Hoo!!

Nice! My wife just drove by and must have seen your truck to help deal with a shitty week. It's a little odd your guide didn't say anything though...

Ha--not opening the frunk until after you take delivery and finding dried paint runs on the underside of the hood?

Agreed. She had no idea until I called her for help when the online delivery system fouled up. Happily unexpected timing. She called me on Monday 2/28 to tell me truck in production. One week later will be delivery at home.
