Perpetual Quiet Period?

With the Q4 report out, we enter the Q1 quiet period.

My guess is Rivian will announce the 22Q1 report is scheduled for 6/6 or 6/13.

This is giving me a very tinfoil hat feeling, that they are intentionally staying in quiet periods as an excuse to limit communication.

Doesn't fill me with confidence.

Thoughts? Is this a known strategy for public companies?

Generally speaking, the metrics they report during earnings calls will only be disclosed on their quarterly SEC filings (which go public more or less concurrently with the earnings calls). Disclosure of material information is very tightly controlled to make sure nobody is getting advance access to it and trading with it.

This is completely normal.

To add to your tinfoil hat thoughts - we have never seen a delivery NOT the week before an earnings call. Next week will tell the tale.

This is completely normal.

Just a shame. With things being so dynamic it would be good to get projected numbers and periodic updates aside from the quarterly reports (in which they dodge so many questions)
