Sounds like Tesla went backwards a little on the M3, on my MS the charge cable locks when the door locks and unlocks when they unlock. Just walking up to the car releases the lock on the cable for easy removal.
It's definitely not Google Maps, but it gets the job done. No lane assist or whatever Google calls it, but it'll get you there. Voice prompts are a little robotic and don't pause playing music, but can be switched to chimes instead of voice. In vehicle Alexa can get directions and start in vehicle nav, so that's nice.
There can be depending on network state and signal strength. It'll tell me it's offline in the app for a bit (maybe 10-30 sec) before it connects, but only some times.

I was told by the Rivian Insurance agent that the only thing they monitor on the car to impact rates is your utilization of Driver+ features.
It simply tells you the cabin is warm or cool and you say cool down or warm up. It may do those things, but you don't have individual control.
