Also, for what it’s worth, I got all of my accessories (wall charger, crossbars, all weather mats) by UPS in the last couple of days and I haven’t even had the truck for a week yet.

Thanks! Such a long wait, but so worth it. Glad I was able to keep my 17+ year old car alive and kicking until finally replacing it today.

My Delivery yesterday went very smooth. They arrived on-time from Portland and spent about an hour going through everything with me and my family.

The all-weather mats and the wristband key weren't with the truck, and will come later in the mail.

One word of note for people in Oregon as this came up last minute for me. You will need to pay the .05% state vehicle tax yourself directly to the state online the day before delivery and get a certificate before they're able to delivery. Apparently you are technically buying the vehicle "out of state" from an Illinois dealer, and Rivian can't collect that tax for you. They will submit DMV paperwork for you, but only can if they have proof you've paid the new vehicle tax.

Enjoying it so far, amazing vehicle!

I assume this means you don’t get the state $2500 credit. When I bought my ID.4 in Portland the dealer handled that rebate at the time of sale.

You wouldn’t anyway as the R1T is above the price cap for the OR credit.

Thanks for the heads up on the luxury tax. I was confused why they weren’t asking for that.

I am supposed to get delivery today but no one from Rivian side has mentioned this tax. Seems like you can get the certificate online immediately.

Yeah takes 5 mins online to do it. Just make sure you have the right VIN

Hi s12dxer! If you don't mind me asking, how far away are you from Portland? I am also in Oregon but a little over 4 hours away from Portland. I assume that all deliveries in Oregon will come from Portland.

Did the drive up and down I-5 today, 300 ish miles. Truck did great, and definitely got a lot of looks, waves and thumbs ups!

The highway assist works well on I-5 and 205, doesn’t seem to be available on other highways. I do wish it could change lanes, but hopefully that comes with a SW update.

Hi s12dxer! If you don't mind me asking, how far away are you from Portland? I am also in Oregon but a little over 4 hours away from Portland. I assume that all deliveries in Oregon will come from Portland.

I’m in the Eugene area. They said I was the furthest non rivian affiliated delivery so far. They mentioned pre-orders further out will be a bit longer to get delivered since they all have to come from Portland at the time being and they are still scaling up staffing wise.

I’d imagine they’d eventually do a rivian location in Bend or Medford, but they said no plans as of yet.
