She called me, got appointment times that worked for me, I got the email unlocking 8 ( no times showed up as available), and a few minutes later I received the scheduling notice for one of the times I had given her.

Been on step 8 since Friday. My credit union overnighted a check that will reach Rivian Monday ( that part in step 5 says "pending approval "). Hopefully step 8 opens up soon. Already paid for 6 months of insurance. Would be nice to have the truck by next weekend!

My hope is that you will, fingers crossed.
I wrote an email to CS with a screenshot from the May/June thread on Friday complaining about the lack of rhyme or reason for delivery priority. Someone who reserved 18 months after I did got their truck, yet I haven't even had a guide contact. SMH
I really need to take a break from the forum. It's a constant up and down emotional roller coaster. Happy for all the folks getting their trucks/Pissed off at Rivian for their lack of "customer service/info".

I see in your vehicles it has an S and a T, is end of the month the T? What is the delivery estimate for the S?

I was able to do a test drive this week. Lots of fun! Overall, a very nice ride and (almost) worth waiting 3+ years to take delivery. I think most of you will be pleased. Most of the details have been covered by others so I'll only add a couple of things here. My biggest takeaway was how incredibly smooth the ride is, on any type of road. Better than most 'luxury' vehicles I've driven but with much better 'road feel' if that makes any sense. Gotta love the 4 wheel independent air suspension.
Only a couple of downsides for me. The interior, although nice is not as great as I had expected in an $80,000 car "benchmarked to Bentleys". For example, the seats (front and back) are not as comfortable as in my Raptor. Nor is there an interior grab handle on the 'A' pillar to help you climb in.
Secondly, it is REALLY hard to get into without a running board. I am average height at 6'1". The Rivian chaperone said he had it at 'normal' height, whatever that is. I also asked if it was possible to set it up to automatically to go to lowest setting when you turn it off and was told "That is not yet available ".
Lastly, the backseat area will be a problem for my two 50lb dogos. I will probably load them in the back seat area with the seat bottoms in the open possition and rig up some sort of way to cover the open storage compartment. So not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind for you dog owners.
Here are a few pix to give you a sense of size by comparison. The R1T is a good size but much smaller than the Raptor. This is not a bad thing. Should be easier to park in the city.

I was at the Sacramento Service center this weekend checking out the colors again and noticed a few trucks had tags hanging in the windows (I think 3) out of the 20. One said to be delivered to Florida and the other said to be delivered to Texas by train. I find that very strange that these trucks were shipped to California and now are being shipped back across the entire country. ??

I drove by there today too. Didn’t see those tags, but did notice about 4 trucks with the 21 inch wheels that I had not previously seen.
