Doh. I got 2.74% for the Tesla which is pretty good and the lowest they offer it seems. I may try PenFed as well. Now to think about what to do for Rivian (I have like a year anyway lol, I’m in 1st half of 2023 R1S).
Interestingly, if you email tesla you can request a lower term and they might give you a better rate. I don't recall the email address but I was able to get an extra .2% when I bought my MYP.

Oh this is an awesome idea! I didn’t even know this was a thing. Thanks for that!

I did misrepresent them in a previous post. The nearest branch is less than 1000 miles away.... there is one in San Diego if that is close to you. Still hundreds of miles from me and I am not that impatient.
Heh, I’m in Sacramento so that’s like a 6-8 hour drive depending on traffic. I can wait for them to ship heh.

Other than this, the process was really easy and completely online. So I'm not going to complain too loudly

Gotcha, that’s awesome. Thanks for pointing out info about the process with PenFed. I’ll most likely just go with them for Rivian. ?

Correction on my info above. I typed TERM, I meant rate. Ask for a discount in the rate. Most lenders will give you a better rate with a shorter term. I was able to get a discount without going to a shorter term.

Just checked the rest of the box. No screws either. Oh well. I’m sure I have some around the garage.
For my charger, the screws were taped to the charging cord. Think I see that in your picture?

Good eye! I missed it but there indeed 4 (hex head, torx?) screws attached in a bag at the start of the charging cord.

I was just on the phone with my guide about this. My main concern was that everything else would be on hold until I got a picture of the check and a tracking number. While I was asking him about it, I got an email from Rivian with the purchase agreement and opening up the payment section as well. Since the truck is still in transit, it looks like this won't hold anything up and it isn't that much of a bottleneck.

Still seems that they want me to send the check to Palo Alto instead of having it in hand at delivery, but that's fine by me.

Ah that’s super interesting! I’m glad it’s not a bottleneck so I’ll most likely go this way if the rates stay the same. (Knowing the current world climate, they probably won’t).
