Check with your guid if they can schedule a test drive while your there. I did mine last Friday same location.Spoke with my guide today. Super friendly Key info is as follows.
If I switch to Black Mountain interior I can have my truck next week.
ocean Coast is still targeted for delivery in April May timeframe
Gear shuttle is delayed will be delivered when available at original pricing.
Going to Venice hub tomorrow to see the vehicle, I have seen two on the streets here in California already.
Will decide on seeing the interiors if I am waiting. I probably am.
Maybe in the traditional retail dealership model, sure, but if Rivian’s building common configurations, shipping them to Service Centers, then matching vehicles to customers doesn’t that mean some part of their order/distribution/delivery system isn’t up and running?I wouldn't say that it is dysfunctional, or even all that uncommon. They build what they have a documented demand and supplies for.
My only config question I have for my future guide is now answered, thanks @astoniusDropping underbody protection, no mention of delay because of this.
My guide was clear that if I dropped the underbody protection that would lead to a delay. As I understood they had/have a truck allocated for me if I were to change that truck they would have to find a different one, they didn't have an estimate of a delay but it was clear there would have been one.My only config question I have for my future guide is now answered, thanks @astonius
Now to just wait for a guide...
Do you know if you still get the tow hooks? Wasn't 100% sure what happens to this feature when the website reverts back to old pricing for me. Seemed like this protection option is on is a feature that has always been included in models we've seen reviewed or heard about being delivered, if mentioned. Hope delivery holds. Good luck.Had my first Guide call this morning. Super nice guy. Dropping underbody protection, no mention of delay because of this
Yeah, I'm sure the deciding factor there is the fact my truck hasn't even been built yetMy guide was clear that if I dropped the underbody protection that would lead to a delay. Yep, tow hooks are standard on all LE and adventure models, regardless of when ordered.Do you know if you still get the tow hooks? Good to hear we're close to a Tennessee delivery! Can I ask when you placed your pre-order? Hoping your guide contact means Knoxville is soon ?Had my first Guide call this morning. Super nice guy. Dropping underbody protection, no mention of delay because of this. OC interior might be more towards the end of the delivery window, but no explicit delay. One thing he said might cause delay is changing wheels. I currently have the default 20"s selected. Might switch to brights or 22"s, haven't decided yet.
May 2019. I just hope they’re able to provide service if needed!Good to hear we're close to a Tennessee delivery! Can I ask when you placed your pre-order? Hoping your guide contact means Knoxville is soon ?
Any updates on how the SC in Franklin is coming along?May 2019. I just hope they’re able to provide service if needed!
Have you heard anything further regarding factory pickup via moto guzzi? ?I had an April/May window but because I switched from OC to BM I am up to step 8 on the delivery sequence - waiting.
Guide didn’t have any info on service centers unfortunately. Just said worst case they would bring me a loaner on a flatbed and tow the truck to the nearest center if needed.Any updates on how the SC in Franklin is coming along?
