In a paradigm shift for those of us here, "Soon" actually means "in the very near future". A few of us are planning to meet in the next few weeks for our B³ Get-Together - Burgers & Beers in Beaverton. When we have details as to date, time, and place, we'll let it be known here. We certainly want anyone interested to join in, whether local or from Blaine, Prudhoe Bay, Winnipeg, Reykjavik, Key West, Ensenada, or anywhere in between.

As to my R1T, I'm having it wrapped and windows tinted and Exoshielded before bringing it home. Should be in my garage within three weeks.

The good news is that I now have three weeks to clean out my garage. The bad news is that I now have only three weeks to clean out my garage. Newton's First Law of Motion will be severely field-tested during these next three weeks. As Sir Isaac said after munching that launched green apple that landed on his head, "An object at rest will stay at rest, unless acted upon by an unbalanced force". I guess I'll find out if I'm truly as unbalanced as all of my friends and family believe me to be. Hopefully, the knowledge that the Jolly (Launch)Green Giant will be here soon provides the needed inertia/kick in the pants to get me in motion. We shall see.... ???

After three years, another three weeks will hopefully seem like the blink of an eye. Maybe....

BTW, welcome to Spring! It started four hours ago. Let the Adventures begin!

Congrats it really does look great. That's the problem ! I have a Launch green configured to be delivered April/May and I am now on the fence more than ever. I need to see the LG and the FG side by side IN REAL LIFE to make this decision. In your picture the color looks great but in the Colorado pictures it is more brown than grey. Is there anywhere within a couple hundred miles of Pgh that would have BOTH? I envy you with your new R1T and can't wait for mine to show up. Enjoy.

I've seen both, side by side and would pick LG in a heartbeat. FG is nice too, but a bit more generic. LG is special. Not brown, definitely grey undertones.

Where do you live in Portland? Is there a possibility to see the Rivian? I am Nov 2019 R1S reservation holder with June/July delivery window.

I vaguely remember submitting my email for interest in a drive event, separate from my account. Anyways, to answer your specific question, I updated my signature with the relevant details.

I submitted my email for interest in a drive event as well, but didn't get an email from Rivian about it. I also have a November 2020 LE reservation. I checked my account and nothing there either.

I also have a June/July delivery estimate. I'm pretty sure that my delivery will be much later because I'm pretty emotionally invested in OC interior.

I'd still like to see a R1T in person while it is stationary.

I have a test drive on 4/9 at 3:30pm at my house in Tigard. The seats are full but if you want to see the truck DM me and I can give you my address.

I figure having a few extra bodies at the house wouldn't be too bad would it?

I've been in touch with @DuckTruck, and he's on board.
Proposing the first ORiviot (not sure if that will stick or not ?‍ ) meetup at the Drive Electric Earth Day (DEED) event in Wilsonville on April 23rd.
The event has been late coming together with a fair amount of red tape to host it on City property, but it looks like a go.
Format is owners show off their EVs and talk to the public, and as many dealers/manufacturers as we can round up will be there providing test drives (Rivian will not be doing test drives at the event).
Duck has agreed to show up with his R1T, and any and all are welcome to join and get a chance to meet like minded folks (both Rivian specific and EV enthusiasts). Historically, these events have been dominated by Tesla in numbers, but I actually think there is a fair chance that new Rivian owners could give them a run for their money.
For those waiting to see one in person, hoping that there will be a variety of colors (at least the limited number they seem to be shipping) to see side by side. I have no doubts what the main attraction of the event will be

Here’s whatI was told today: “When it comes to demo drives, we don't presently have any ongoing in the Portland area. However, when we're headed your way, we'll be sure to give you a heads up! We'll do everything we can to ensure a demo drive experience for you prior to taking delivery, as we know getting behind the wheel prior to making the purchase is important.”

Delivered today. I guess the first in Sandy. Had a screw in the rear driver side tire upon delivery. Local delivery manager called mid delivery and wanted to back out and fix it but I convinced him we could just put the spare on. Then we broke the jack point adapter that came with the truck so we took it out to The Tire Guy and he swapped out the spare free of charge.

Rivian took the bad tire to be fixed/replaced and returned to me later. No accessories (cross bars, floor mats or recovery kit) also no wrist band.

Ive got a full stable now, think I need to sell at least one
