Stage 8 Purgatory

Stage 8 3/22 checking in from Charleston, SC. My wire transfer for the down payment left my account this AM, and my guide emailed me to confirm they received the check at the office for the remaining balance.

My initial call on Monday indicated I should expect to take delivery before the end of the month, so it looks like they must be packing out the Atlanta center for us southern folks. Still doesn't seem real....

We made a call back in late Fed to swap to a configuration that matched the demo vehicles. BM, 20" R1T Wheels, and dropped accessories.

We are perfectly happy to take an earlier delivery vs waiting for Ocean and the 20" R1S AT wheels and potentially seeing another delay.

While writing this reply my Guide you reaffirmed delivery prior to end of the month for us!

Texted my Guide, awaiting a response, again asking if OC interior is going to mean a short delay, like a few weeks, or more like months. If several months, I might accept BM as an option, knowing it isn't black, but more of a dark gray. Will see what she says...and then wonder what to actually believe???

Take everything out of the equation. Just look at the data available.

At a MINIMUM Black Mountain improves your delivery odds. At best you outright cut in line.

They are not going to stop making something they have figured out. Will they decide to increase complexity by adding in Ocean Coast or R1S?

My guess is they start to pepper in Ocean Coast trucks next month, then a few SUVs (all black), then Ocean Coast SUVs.

We have the luxury of having seen these vehicles back 2020 in Atlanta. We have full faith that regardless of color, it'll be beautiful.

Well I texted my guide this afternoon just to see if she had an updated location and was told it arrived at the service center yesterday and was awaiting inspection. About 2 hours later got the email to schedule delivery! In and out of Stage 8 purgatory fairly quickly. Delivery scheduled for Friday at 2!

I think they are stretching the guides pretty thin between dealing with current orders and having intro calls with other new people.

So far the best part has been the 4 and 6yo’s reactions when we picked them up from school in it. We previously had them convinced we wouldn’t see it until the summer. ? Weekend adventures inbound!
