I had my first Guide call today and when I asked about the rumored OC delay her response was; “I wouldn’t say they are delayed, but let me put it to you this way…if you didn’t have a Black Mountain interior we probably wouldn’t be talking today”

Such inconsistencies. I have OC in my locked configuration and had my guide call 5 days ago.

Holy cow! I checked and I have a guide assigned too! And I'm an FE interior - I can hardly believe it! Very curious to hear if I'm going to get an actual timeline for FE, or just an offer to switch to BM. ? We'll see!

Rivian may not want to use the “D” word (“delay”), but there is really no debate at this point that FE and OC interiors have been delayed. The only thing that has been sold is BM interior, including several adventure models.

As a matter of semantics, it is still unclear whether that delay is driven by a lack of supply or whether Rivian is choosing to produce BM interior first. But there is no doubt that there has been a “delay” from the customer perspective, even if Rivian is instructing its guides not to use the “D” word.

I reserved in 12/2018. I was notified about 1 month ago by my guide, Katy, that I would be looking at a July to September delivery date. I was quick to respond and started my 8-step process....and they are now delivering my R1T next Saturday (4/23). Nothing special - Adventure, LA Silver..but it came together quick. I will be #3883 (VIN) so they are continuing to show progress. Patience....its coming!

I picked mine up 4/2 and was #4020 and an Adventure Series. Odd how the numbers and dates are all over.

My preorder was may of 19. I did have an OC interior spec'd changed it to BM int. on 4/13 and have a guide assigned as of last night. I reached out via text and received automated response. This might actually happen....

When Rivian first announced this, I assumed “early 2022” would be before the first quarter ended, April 1, 2022.

Now assuming ”early 2022” lasts until 11:59pm on June 30th? ?
