Just finished call with guide.
Happy with config.
Asked if I would be flexible with interior color for possibly earlier delivery and said I would be happy to change to FE. He said that would probably speed things up. So now I’m LG/FE.
Said that adding off-road would likely delay because I was already queued up without.
Said that picking up at SC might speed things up. Suggest that San Jose might be open by then which is closer than SSF.
Asked about financing, insurance, charger, trade in.
Said they are supposed to quote 90 days but usually faster.
Said that 1 week times were cars that buyer couldn’t accept and went to next in line during EOQ push.
Excited for the build and delivery process to start!
Received PBA while on call. Signed a few minutes later.

If they are supposed to be quoting 90 days then they are woefully behind schedule since they provided us delivery windows not order confirmation windows.

At additional cost? Good to hear FE is likely available. Still a little mythical to me, but more and more less so than OC.

Yes. But I did say I was happy to pay the extra cost. It was my favorite and I was just being cheap when I picked OC.

Guide assigned this morning! Low key freaking out, I’m so excited. Texted the guide immediately and seemed to imply I could look at changing back to a forest edge interior as they are starting to be produced.

I braced for the let down of seeing Contact Support when I logged in and clicked the "?" yet again before I lay my head on my pillow...much to my excitement it changed, there's A GUIDE listed!

So I just logged in and saw I was assigned a guide as well. I haven’t had any contact from him yet. So what does this mean? (To all who have been through this process already).

I emailed my guide this morning and he called me 10 minutes later. We had a great hour long conversation and I signed my PBA during the call after we reviewed my configuration and accessories. He quoted me a 4-8 week lead time with the possibility of receiving it sooner. I am super excited and even more a Rivian believer now.

Was just able to schedule my intro call with my guide for next Friday. It's just all too exciting!

Did you reach out to them? Email, text? My guide texted me that she looked forward to working with me but nothing about an intro call yet.

I sent an email almost immediately after seeing my guide was assigned. When my guide replied she included a link to book an intro call, and I picked the first available which was next Friday.

And now I'm super jealous of the folks who are getting nearly instant calls/PBAs! But I'm stoked just to be part of the guide club

Got a call yesterday without warning, no email or messages regarding assigned guide, no config locked out or anything, just an odd number calling, i answered and there it was "Hi, i'm calling from Rivian, my name is justin, I'm your guide...." I had pre ordered in August 2019, Launch edition GW/BM on the 20"all terrain, i'm in south FL (Miami) and justin informed me that i am 4-8 weeks away .... i cant wait.

Been reading about everyone getting their guides assigned earlier this week and decided to check my account at Rivian.com. Low and behold I have a guide! No email from the guide or Rivian yet. Prepping an email to send as I type this.

Dallas area. Jan 2020 preorder date. Had my first mile test drive on 04/09; truck was amazing. Only gripe would be the extra long travel on the accelerator pedal. Really felt like I had to extend my leg and ankle to floor it. Other than that the truck exceeded all expectations.

Hoping the 90 day delivery expectation is a lame attempt by Rivian to under-promise/over-deliver. Will update after contacting my guide.

Been a long time coming and I can't wait to take delivery!

My guide did mention yesterday that the auto email from them usually goes out 24 hours after they are assigned which may explain why you haven’t gotten an email. I managed to contact my guide before the auto email went out introducing him.
