I don’t know, sure sounds like exactly what I had and it was the computer processor (or AXM module that Godfodder mentioned).
My screens would shut off after an extended period of driving but then come back on. Once they fixed the issue with the module it’s no longer happened.
100% agree with this thread! Have a 2,XXX vin with about 8k miles that I got in May last year. Even had one major issue that required the truck to be in the shop for a month (computer part failed and both screens stopped working). Even with that major issue I was given a Rivian loaner and it...
Well, we finally have a resolution and finally, have the truck back. It took from Dec 12th to January 11th to resolve all issues. Long story short the SSF service center "Removed and replaced the Module, Driver Assistance/Audio/Display". I am assuming this is the AXM part that @godfodder0901...
Following up on this thread. I first encountered the issue on Nov 21st where the screens would shut off mid-drive. I finally got a service appointment on Dec 12th at the South San Francisco spot (wasn't pumped I had to wait nearly three weeks). It has been two weeks since the truck was dropped...
Echoing @godfodder0901 here, all of these things happened on a road trip from SF to LA. Started the day with black screens, then reset and okay. Drove about 100 miles before driver assist stopped working, then about 180 miles in screens died. Will be asking about this AXM part asap.
You are 100% correct, @godfodder0901! Everything you mentioned doesn’t work. I’m on a road trip so really disappointed. Going to try and schedule something asap.
Hello Fellow Forum Friends,
I’m wondering if anyone is having this issue. While on a road trip from SF to LA both my main displays in the truck turned off multiple times.
The truck still drives fine but once it happens they go completely black and unresponsive. I called Rivian support and...
1 week in, 500 miles, and it’s running great! Two minor issues, one with a paint issue on the drivers door, second there is wind noise from the passengers door. Overall though it has exceeded my very high expectations!!
Welp checked this morning and slightly disappointed. Trucks manufacturing date was 02/22 with a VIN of 28XX. I was told throughout my interactions with my guide that the truck was ”on the line”, it’s ”progressing well”, it’s “almost done”. The truck only had a few miles on it when delivered so I...
Took delivery 5/26 and my vin was 28XX…I asked the guy about it and he said there really isn’t a rhyme or reason for the vin numbers being assigned/produced. My truck was just a few days off the line.
Took delivery on Thursday, May 26th!! Mom and Dad were way more excited then the little man :CWL:. We immediately took it on a road trip from the SF Bay Area to Sacramento and was smooth sailing the entire way!
Just got my 8-step process opened today!! Finished everything except 3rd party financing which I’ll need guide support on Monday. Finally feeling real!
Signed my PBA 23 days ago and nothing...same old message that the truck is on the manufacturing line (how long does it take to get through the line? Does anyone know?).
Continue getting the message that I will be getting my truck "soon" ?. The end of May is fast approaching!
I saw a great instruction list here to find this info: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/any-march-april-delivery-people-contacted.3656/post-138714
