If you take your R1T through a carwash, will the brushes at the carwash cause the charge door to open, or the power-tonneau; or cause any other strange problems to watch out for?

The latest software update added a “car wash mode” to disable the charge port door. Prior to that, it was a problem.

Also, pretty please don't take it to a carwash with brushes. Hand wash or touchless with the most basic, no chemicals. At least for the first few years.

Anyone having problems getting the 21 inch road wheels with the standard machined aluminum wheels? The 20 inch AT tires are $1,800 upgrade. and I don't foresee myself off-roading.

I am curious if there is a problem getting out trucks with the 21" road wheels. Anyone seen a pattern of all-terrain wheels being the majority of the deliveries??

The majority of deliveries have been 20”…. But that was expected. Most deliveries have been launch editions, and those got the 20/22” wheel upgrade at no-charge. The R1T was also expected to have the 20” be more popular than the 22” (although the R1S may flip that?)

There have been 21” deliveries. I wouldn’t read much into there being fewer because of the LE.

Counter argument: do what you like, it’s your car. It may mar your paint in ways that it’s probably marring your current car’s paint. Don’t let other folks tell you that should bother you if it doesn’t currently bother you.

There are two different heights because of make up of the bed. The best height you can get if your item can straddle the ridges and sit in the valleys is 17 1/8". If the cover was already closed you could probably sneak in another 1/16". But if your item is flat and needs to sit on the ridges in the bed your best height is 16 3/4"

Thanks. I was just thinking how tall of a cooler i can keep in the back. Haha. Also by the length of the bed, one may not be able to put a full size adult MTB on the bed with the cover closed even with the front tire removed?

This might seem like a strange one, but can someone tell me the dimensions (L x W x H) of the arm rest pad on the center console?

I did search and checked the owner manual but couldn't find anything.

Reason: I use an Orvis dog hammock in the back of my Tacoma with a net between the seats but my pup loves to pop up and stand on the center armrest (mostly at drive-throughs). You can get neoprene covers for them and I'd like to shop around and see if I can find one that might fit.
