How do you know that those with OC PBAs won't get their vehicles? Perhaps they have a limited supply of OC wood and will deliver those with PBAs, while delaying the rest.

No. I'm glad they're helping suppliers to maximize supplies and vehicle deliveries. It's a good move.

Agree. Solid move and encouraging effort at good-faith communication with customers.

Who said anything about those with OC PBAs would not ‘get their vehicles’?

Delays on the other hand…

As we've gotten used to by now, but it is no less disturbing, last night's email specifically delaying OC interiors to Fall 2022 completely contradicts those with signed LE OC PBA's with May 2022 deliveries directed.

That this gap exists again comes down to communication. That we would completely doubt that those with signed LE OC PBA's will see their trucks next month is expected given Rivian's poor comms.

Does anyone yet know which it is? Dubious.

While I support getting as many vehicles out as quickly as possible with proper QC, and what appears to be more direct comms from the new group in CA charged with doing so, the beat goes on with self inflicted angst.

Supply chain disruptions are only growing. See Shanghai ports.

Do you have confirmation that your vehicle is delayed again? I hadn't seen anything about BM interiors being impacted.

Specifically I read

For preorder holders with a delivery window in 2022, we will be reaching out in late May to gauge your preferences and help further inform our build combinations. If you’re flexible on certain options, you may be able to take delivery sooner. If you love your original configuration and prefer to stick with it, then no action is required on your part — we’ll simply continue to update you on your estimated delivery timing.

This tells me its only the ones affected and not things like BM etc.

thats the problem.... we dont know. another comms blunder.

if they had said "those with PBA's will (or will not) recieve your vehicles as planned", that would help eliminate confusion. but as the OP said, we've been scaringed.

After reading the email, I want to feel like my Apr/May window is still valid...but there is a question mark floating around in my head making me wonder if that will impact me with Black Mountain as well :-? That will be a pivotal focus point on my intro call Monday.

@cohall, don't you have your call scheduled this week? For some reason I feel like you were ahead of my schedule.

So Rivian stating something like "executed OC PBAs will be fulfilled as comitted" would solve the problem?

You're correct. My intro guide call is on Friday. I'll certainly be trying to get a better understanding of the overall impact (and impact on my specific situation) when I talk to her.

Well I sure hope you are correct, with apologies to delayed April/May/June OC delivery windows. Still, when I Clintonparse that email I can’t get it to sound like anything other than Thank you for committing to your purchase last week for delivery in the April/May May/June timeframe we’ve stuck to since last Fall…yeah, about that…see, we’ve decided to scramble the delivery order again, this time by color and wheel size. If you don’t hear from us s00n or see pictures of your color combination in SC spy shots, we’ll try to give you an idea of where your batch of color and wheel choice are in the production queue by the end of May. S00n, we hope….

Like I said, I hope you’re correct…
