Hmm. I would not expect your delivery window to be so late with that configuration and order date.
Location is very important and @yorty's location is very, very far from a Rivian service center, so that's likely explains the late delivery window.

Glad I’m not the only one doing this and I get my normal pre-7am check in.

My delivery is scheduled for Saturday!!
What an absolute crazy whirlwind of a day, starting with getting customer service to kind of force my substitute guide to call me, confirming this is real, realizing I HAVE A VIN, and absolutely cranking through all 8 steps all day.

First and foremost, if you get contacted by a guide and sign a PBA DON'T BELIEVE THEM that you are waiting till October! THat means you are assigned a truck! Make your preparations needed to go through trade and finances in a week!

I was screwed here, because I wanted to pay off my Tesla loan, and sell my Tesla stock, all at least a month before Rivian delivery to pay for it (bye bye, Elon). In order to make Saturday delivery, I had to transfer funds TODAY. Clearly I could not make the moves I planned in time.

Second, when you get the 8 steps email, the truck has now passed Pre-Delivery prep and inspection, and you have a VIN! Look in your rivian account under your truck (which I totally missed because I was only looking at my 8 steps which don't mention the VIN).

Once I got my guide sub on the phone this morning to confirm the config was what I ordered and not some substitute, and it truly is ready to delivery, I moved as fast as possible with every step. Vin needed for Geico. Initiated wire transfer because their bank system doesn't support login to DCU's new horrible web site. They do not offer a way to just enter an ACH.

Well I did start the trade process yesterday, including the needed photo of the Tesla's screen (not the car at all!), and it was approved and quoted in 24 hours, and I nearly lost it at the quote. Higher than what I've seen at KBB for private sale. Basically, owning my Model 3 for 4 years only cost me 7 grand. Wow.

Also...UNFREEZE YOUR CREDIT...I realized this just before I went into the loan section and thankfully it worked, and I was approved in a minute. Reasonable rates.

I had to do a live notary session by the end of the day, AFTER I was done with the 8 steps, which I think was to fill out the Mass specific paperwork.

The guide scheduled my delivery for next wednesday. Then moved it to friday. Then to Saturday. All within about two hours. I am still betting it will NOT happen that quickly. Who likes to gamble?

So after a disappointing day with my guide yesterday, he absoluetly rocked today. He was figting a cold. I really wish we were assigned a 2-3 guide team instead of a single point of failure.
ANd huge props to the Rivian system. We really accomplished a lot and it ingested a ton of info and paperwork, very smoothly. So much better than the old Tesla process when my delivery varied by weeks!

I did try to ask for an explanation to how I am skipping the line, the guide didn't see anything specific about friends and family though he hears they move very quickly, but he thinks it is just very lucky extra production of my exact config. He also said he has 3 other Oct-Dec deliveries he is working on and that they intentionally under promised on times. So have some hope!
Wow - crazy story! Glad you're on your way. Who was your guide BTW?

As someone who's been kicking themselves for following Rivian for years but not pulling the trigger on a reservation sooner than July 2021 to "let them work out the bugs" but now with everything delayed is saying screw it give me my truck ....

He also said he has 3 other Oct-Dec deliveries he is working on and that they intentionally under promised on times. So have some hope!
Don't do that. Don't give me hope.

I have a Jul-Sept delivery date and still no assigned guide. This info was sent to me prior to the product cut. Since then, I have contacted CS a few times to see if my delivery date has been pushed back and all they can tell me is nothing has changed and more official communications will be forth coming via the updated website. It's has been over a month now and nothing...Sigh

It's hard to watch all these orders after mine get trucks (And I'm a May 2021 order holder, I can't imagine being in 2018-2020). I keep wondering why my config hasn't troggered and what if I had selected different wheels or the off road upgrade, etc...

I know.. I just need to be patient.. I wasn't expecting to see anything until Oct at the earliest. :)

I am in the Oct-Dec delivery window as well though I live in Vermont and don't expect to receive mine early as some are experiencing. However, what if I changed my delivery address to a family member in Mass where they are starting to deliver? Could that bump me up? For those who have gone through the delivery process, who takes care of the registration and does the registration address need to match the delivery address?

That has been spotty. Some have, some have not. I was not notified via email. I discovered it through clicking the question mark in my account. If you discover you have a guide without receiving an initial guide contact email, send them a message right away so that you can get on their schedule.

There was a 24 or so hour of between the assignment and the email asking you schedule your intro call for me

So many deliveries for recent orders it's wild. I just keep telling myself remember its an expensive vehicle, no need to rush to get it ASAP. I'll just focus on my delivery window of Oct-Dec even if it can change or get pushed drastically.

I feel for the peeps who have 2018-2020 orders and seeing people after getting deliveries.

WOW! That is absolutely nuts. I reserved FG Adventure with 20" ATs on Oct 19, 2021. You're giving me hope.. hahaha.

Just wish there was rhyme or reason to how Rivian was making these delivery decisions. Anyways, I'm happy for ya man.. Congrats.

One day after my guide call I just got the 8 steps email. Does this mean my truck is ready to go? Guide isn't responding to text messages.
