so how was it, they called or emailed you first? Were you surprised and expecting it?

Contacted by email first. Then scheduled the call. After the recent email of prioritizing certain builds I thought I might see my delivery moved up, but was still surprised when i got the email.

Nice, did you change your configurations or stick to one and thats it?

He also said he has 3 other Oct-Dec deliveries he is working on and that they intentionally under promised on times. So have some hope!

Unless you ordered an R1S....or OC interior.... I also think there are folks over in the March/April group who haven't gotten delivery yet (R1T) that would disagree with the guide's claim that they under promised on times.

I'm really curious if changing config reset something in the system, because I was very sure never to touch it. Or maybe now that they have flooded the west coast they are now concentrating on the northeast. Someone else here is mass is also getting adventure delivery saturday as well. No one really knows what the explaination or system is. If anything, it keeps changing.

I tend to believe the New England theory. Live in CT and am going thru 8 steps now. Truck still at factory hope to hear soon when it’ll be in Brooklyn so we can wrap this process up.

I think if you are doing 8 steps and have VIN it's already in Brooklyn.
They just told me this morning they are moving it closer to MA today or tomorrow so they don't have to deliver all the way from NY on saturday.
They are definitely changing the delivery process by the minute, and I think turning on the firehose here!

Interesting, you and I have similar experiences. Guide call and PBA yesterday. Same build but I do have shielding. I wonder if they are working on a batch of whites with black ATs!

Possibly. I've changed my config a bunch of times. Nothing yet. Just curious, did you do the off-road package?

Started y 8 steps yesterday. Still waiting for the final few steps to be unlocked.

Can anyone comment on how long i'll be waiting from here? My guide told me that my vehicle wait waiting to be shipped in normal yesterday (when my 8 steps opened up). I'm only able to complete the steps through insurance. The rest will unlock (I presume) after they PDI the vehicle at my service service center (I'm guessing ROCKVILLE, MD). Just want to iron out the plan w/ my CU as they're exceptionally small and this is the first Rivian they've done (can't ACH the payment---but've indicated they can wire it).

This is kinda wild. So you and I are both in Boston area. I ordered like 8 months before you, have a similar build, and you're about to take delivery while I've heard nothing (and my est. delivery was the earlier window as of Dec, too!). Crazy.

i got to ask... have you hit up CS and been like yo you got some explaining to do? even if they hedge, maybe push it up the ladder? i know a lot of people are like shrug so crazy! but to see 2018 pre -orders not getting their trucks is truly wild.

CS really doesn't know much other than their scripted answers that they use. They really can't do anything and will likely just say they understand your frustration and that you are still on schedule for you delivery date.

No, there's no point as the other poster said. CS can't/won't do anything, and besides, there are still a bunch of people in this area who ordered before I did and have heard nothing.
