So the 8 steps unlocked for me this morning... I got through step 2 for the appraisal on the trade-in, then came back to it a few minutes later and the steps are gone now and I'm back to just a regular configuration screen. ?
This just happened to me too. I got to step 3 and when I hit submit I got an error and now the 8steps icon is missing from my account. I messaged my guide but waiting to hear back. Given that we both had similar errors in the same timeframe, I'm guessing it's a systems issue on their side.

Concerning. Not sure if it makes me feel better that someone else has the issue too, or worse. Was it a mistake they opened up at all, or just an error with the process at the moment? Obviously, hoping for the latter... haven't heard back from my guide either.

Same thing happened to me. My guide texted me that she went to look at my steps and noticed the vehicle had been removed. She's working on finding out what happened.

That's pretty concerning to me since I already added the VIN to my insurance, signed all the paperwork, and went through the ACH payment steps.

The good news is I'm a Cowboys fan so I'm used to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

My guide just got back to me saying they had initially matched me with a VIN that didn't match my config so they had to retract the buying process and they are working to find me a new VIN :fingerscrossed:

Today is my birthday, and just received the email to schedule my delivery for TOMORROW
My delivery tomorrow was canceled. The paint on the hood was damaged, and no real timetable for when it will get fixed. What a whirlwind of a day.

Awaiting PDI and a good wash. Hoping to schedule service center pick up early next week. Tomorrow is the first day for Denver SC pickup option, according to a very kind employee I chatted with.

I changed my paint to Launch Green today. Also decided to put in another reservation for the Max Pack because maybe I'd still rather have Rivian Blue. Also curious what the timeline for that is going to be. Maybe the removable roof will be available. And the winch.

No garage changes besides just cleaning it up. Still wish Rivian put a bigger charger in the truck, but at least it wont charge as slow as the Hummer. Maybe DCFCs will come down in price and it will be a reasonable option soon.

No planned trips yet. If we do make concrete plans it will be something I can do in any other EV. Like the Hummer.


Cows can be vegans too. There is still hope.
I'm confused... I have never seen "MAX" as an option for the battery pack. I have two R1S orders, one I orderd a LOOONG time ago (and just switched to black interior), and another I'm leaving with OC I ordered later because I want to get the 2nd gen battery pack (MAX?). However, I've never seen an option for that... Also, would switching the battery packs make us loose our grandfathered pricing?

Well, I very much hope you're wrong... not sure how it would since the whole point of these is to build standardized "Skateboards" to plop a chasie onto...

They originally advertised it as "the first real SUV that can go over 400 miles"... I've been wanting the MAX all along...

Spoke with my guide today. She confirmed that the shipment that my truck was in on the way to the service center got turned around and sent back to Normal for an unidentified issue. No idea if my truck actually had the issue or not, or how long it will take to be fixed.

Since I was so fast through the 8 step process, I managed to pay them before they yanked the VIN from my account. My guide has escalated internally and they're also looking for another truck in my configuration to match me to in case the rework takes longer than a day or two. I'm hoping to have more specific information some time Monday.

When I said I was worried that it was going to be a couple of weeks before I was matched again, she seemed quite confident that wouldn't be the case since I've completed payment. I'm not exactly holding my breath but I'm going to aim for optimism.
