All the various social media sites and news groups are showing an increase in delivery activity. I don't see much happening in the Austin, TX area. There are a few mentions in the Dallas and Houston area.

I have not driven to the supposed location of the service center in north Austin to see if there is anything going on.

I've driven by the service center every couple of weeks... it was still under construction last week.

I'm going up to Normal to pick up my truck next week... Could have gotten it delivered here, but I need it ASAP

I'm estimating another 2-3 months for the Austin center to be open. They were being served by Dallas, and now Houston with it just opening. There are a number of deliveries already in the area.

I've seen a launch edition green R1T at the Lifetime Fitness in south Austin but that is the only one I have seen. Granted... I am still working from home so I am not traveling the roads frequently.

Nice that they gave you the option for that. There doesn't seem to be a lot of uniformity of experience as to who gets that option.

Meant to reply to the post above yours. Fixed it.
Ah, yes. I also asked about going to Normal and was told I could, but it didn't work out on my end. I suspect it's a matter of how much effort the Guide wants to put in. Also, it can't be an option for everyone, so timing can be a factor too. For a lot of people, the vehicle has already left Normal before they even know it exists, so that's an easy explanation.

Just got my guide assignment yesterday and introductory call scheduled for tomorrow. I’m out of San Antonio.

I am in the 8 step process and live in Austin. The vehicle will come from Dallas since the service center here isn't yet open. From what I've gathered there are 3 other R1Ts in Austin. The green one is likely an employee. There is a blue one who frequents north Austin, and then someone on Reddit was getting one delivered last week.

When I switched my delivery address from ATX to Maine I got a guide almost immediately… maybe coincidence, but I suspect they’re not doing many ATX deliveries until the service center is up and running here… (the sc in Boston just came online and there are 30+ trucks there awaiting delivery)

There must be a lot more than 3, because the other day I pulled up next to a white one at Bee Cave/360, a LG one pulled up behind me and we all turned west onto Bee Cave. A few days later I saw a white one (perhaps same) down by Austin High.

Funny enough, as rare as those sightings, I saw a Lucid on 360 a couple days later, which may be one of the rarest production vehicle sightings on earth (especially outside of CA).

Was wondering about this as well. June 1 2019 R1S preorder. LA Silver, BM. No guide yet.

It's crazy to me that I have a truck supposedly locked in and am going through 8 steps - but I've never seen an R1T in person! I deeply love the Lucid Air and so am doubly jealous!

I may be biased, but I followed the Rivians as long as feasible without being crazy bc of their presence, but seeing the Lucid I just said, huh that's cool and drove past. It's fairly unremarkable, just looks like an old Sebring.
