Dallas, for sure, they’ve been doing deliveries out of the Dallas service center for months. Austin is 4 to 6 weeks away from opening
No, the Dallas SC is still under construction. They've been operating out of a temporary facility.

The Richmond VA SC is in the back of a rented building...makes me think Temp.

I think the delay is because you cannot register these trucks as passenger vehicles yet in NY. There is a 6000lb weight restriction.

I'm in the Lehigh Valley area and my guide said mine would be coming from Brooklyn SC. So we'll see.

Yeah, that's the sad takeaway from this.... Rivian can build more vehicles then they can presently deliver. They need to go full Tesla at this point and automate as much of the build confirmation, doc submission, payment and delivery process as possible.

The Guide system is a useless waste of time for standard deliveries where no special arrangements are needed. It is quickly becoming the bottleneck between the factory and customer.
It's a bit surreal watching Rivian duplicate many of Tesla's early mistakes. Initially, Tesla had their Delivery Specialists and tried to individually tailor each delivery experience. Even with the well-trained Delivery Specialists who kept the deals rolling it was a huge bottleneck. It was an overall cluster&@% because most of the DS staff was incompetent. Combination of uninterested, underpaid and undertrained.

The major Rivian service centers all have lots of trucks just sitting. They don't have the staff to run these trucks through PDI and get them delivered, yet the factory keeps spitting them out. They seem to be fully ramped up to the 200/week and will be able to maintain that through the end of the year. They have a battery supply bottleneck and have to keep working through some other component supply issues to make sure they can keep it going, but actually building the trucks on the line is no longer a bottleneck itself.

Denver service center has 20 to 50 trucks in their lot almost daily, many are being prepped here to be moved for delivery elsewhere. There are some that are just sitting idle. I'm conducting an experiment... I perused the lot yesterday and compared to what I found over the past couple weeks. There's a common configuration that seems to be sitting more than others. As in I'm thinking it's not as popular as one would think. I placed a new order for that configuration to see if I can get matched. Because I'll go ahead and take one now and sell/trade it once my Max Pack is available. Rivian is not building trucks per customer specs. They're batch-building pre-determined configs and then matching them to customers after staging them regionally.

Maybe it will work, maybe it won't. But I'm seeing a number of instances being reported on other social media where guys are placing their orders anywhere between 6 days and 6 months ago and getting matched with a VIN.

Hmmm.....mine's headed up to the Brooklyn SC tomorrow for alignment and suspension service. I hope I don't get put in the back of the line! Anyone know if they have separate PDI and actual service areas?

I'm curious now, what's the config?

Wow, didn't realize NJ was on the list. Thanks for the info. I figured there were logistical reasons for the Brooklyn choice, but I am surprised NJ won't allow a service center.
I am surprised NJ is on the list since Lucid has a facility near Princeton.

I knew someone would ask, probably should have just said it. It's LA Silver, BM interior, power tonneau and 20" AT standard wheels. They've had a couple sitting on the lot for some time now while all the other inventory cycles. I asked them a week ago how come the couple silver ones hadn't moved and was told they haven't been able to match them to a customer. Still sitting there yesterday, so I added a new reservation with a config matching them. I honestly don't think I'll get that lucky, but either their system is really screwed up in terms of matching trucks to reservations or Rivian has already over-produced/delivered one or more configurations for this area. Initially there were three of them, two Adventures and one LE. The LE moved out at some point last week, the two Adventure R1Ts in LA Silver keep sitting there. All the LG, FG, blue, limestone, red, yellow, etc.. are cycling in and out.

I know a few people had success with this approach in the early days of the Model 3/Y deliveries as Tesla was just batch-building and blindly delivering to their primary SC's for staging and redistribution after matching to a customer reservation.

I’m surprised its LA Silver. If I weren’t concerned I’d get the one with obvious tiger stripes on the hood or another visible areas I’d be fine with the color.

I'll be flying into JFK tomorrow and could easily kill some time in Brooklyn. I assume these trucks are behind a locked gate? I'm dying to see the colors in real life.
