I have my delivery scheduled for Thursday. I’m on Cape Cod this weekend. I’m out of my mind excited. My wife keeps asking me to put down my phone and stop reading the owner’s manual.

I'm away on business next week, in Chicago.

If they want me to pick it up at the factory, I need to know that sooner than later. I find it unlikely though, since after their offer on my current truck, I decided to take advantage of the trade in.

My delivery is scheduled for Friday afternoon from Chelsea. My electrician surprised me by showing up today instead of early next week and I now have a charger (okay, an EVSE) hardwired and on the wall awaiting the R1T.

Someone was there today on Reddit (the Rivian community) and likely posted a picture of your truck.

All steps done other than payment, and insurance (which I can't do until I find out an approx delivery date to transfer my insurance from my trade in over to the Rivian).

Delivery step is locked until they say my vehicle is ready.

It'll be so weird handing them the keys to a rusty old $3800 Tacoma and driving away in a $80k Rivian. Did I mention this is the first new car/truck I've ever bought? Talk about a night/day difference....

Got the call from a very friendly and helpful Emily.

Offered for me to pick it up in Normal next Saturday, but I opted to take delivery on the 17th at home to keep things simpler due to the trade. Just need to update my insurance and send over the money.

Damn it, I'm Prod Oncall until midnight Monday night. I so wish I could run up there this weekend and just look at it. ?
