R1T updated estimated delivery window email (received June 11)

So I have a similar config, but Rivian Blue. I suspect it may be the spare tire that is causing us to get pushed back so far.

It seems like they are out of 20" AT wheels (hence all the 21 sports we are seeing).

Doubt it's the spare tire specifically since that can be installed at a service center after the fact. You may be onto something in general with the 20" wheels. The last few post I've noticed in a few places have all been 21" wheels.

sigh, now October - November 2022.

was May-June, I've had my guide for over a month now with pretty much no progress.

wonder if my guide changing my delivery location to the factory messed things up.

I find it strange they'd essentially "waste" a guide for over a month on a delivery window now 3 months away. Not trying to discount anyone's role or efforts but what was the guide doing in this time? Why even bother with an introduction if things will be cold for months. I'd think there's someone getting a vehicle within the next 30 or 60 days that could better use a guide. Unless internally didn't know about the "new" delivery windows but that seems even more strange.

Congrats, I'm going to take this as more anecdotal evidence the 20" ATs are the issue with my build. All the timing for my order was the same as yours with that being the only difference and I have a October/November window.

I preordered in January fucking 2019. I should not have been June/July to begin with. I can nearly see the service center from my house. And what’s wrong with my config? Sure, I have compass yellow but they’re shipping now. I have the powered tonneau. I have the 20” AT and that wasn’t a problem before but is now? What else can I change? *EDIT* also have BM interior*

I guess I should just put in a new order tonight and I’ll get delivery in a few weeks because it seems I’ve already been passed in line by later preorder holders for access to the R1 Shop.

Yeah, yeah I’m bitching. You would be too if 1) you didn’t have your R1T already or 2) you ordered when I did and have my delivery date.

I am with you on this. Really sorry you are getting screwed here. This is 100% me at this point. So frustrated. Just have my fingers crossed for the R1 Shop. Going to change my configuration to something I actually want, because my Guide randomly changing my configuration every week “to speed things up” did nothing for me, and now I am sitting on a config I don’t really love.

I'm curious when they took the snapshot in time of configs to set this new date. I changed things 3x over the past week (all in an attempt to see if I could get a guide assigned). For a while I was FG/FE/20. Then I tried RB/BM/20, then to RB/FE/20, and finally I'm currently on RB/FE/21 which was where I was set on Friday. As many have mentioned, I'd just love to hear from a guide and ultimately see the R1 store. I'm pretty option to a number of colors and wheel sizes.

Ugh, I went from July -September 2022 to.... second half of 2023 for R1T despite changing to black mountain. Probably due to my location.

Good chance I end up getting an Ioniq 7 or electric Silverado instead.

Am I the only one who got pushed back by over a year?

Even though we have a service center in Richmond, VA and a temp one in Rockville, MD (both close to me) it seems like deliveries have been very slow in the mid-Atlantic. I almost thought of changing it to a family members address in SoCal.

Theres a couple of us that ordered in the area.

2021 - moved up by over 3 months. Adventure cheap build. No options. BM/El Cap. Moved from 1H 2023 to Sept-Oct 2022

2019 - moved back to Q4 from Q2. LE build. 20”, off road, power cover. BM/Riv Blue

Mine moved up as well - Q4 22 to a specific September month, no range of date. Adventure, 21”, Power Cover. BM/Glacier.

Mine was the most complicated having switched configurations more than a couple dozen times. I was LE with OC interior, then max pack. At one point I switched to an explore build.

Based on those 3, it’s either the off road or 20” wheels that caused it to move back.

I have a hunch that they changed the weighting of location but it's hard to confirm without data. It would be interesting to plot updated deliveries for similar configs against distance from nearest SC and region.

Changed my interior to Ocean Coast.... no incentive to change to BM or Forrest if it didn't change my eta (moved it back a bit).
