Our Palisade was delivered yesterday and I took a photo of family in the back. Later I realized my son had on his Rivian shirt and then as I sit writing this, my first mile wrist band haunts me in the bookshelf next to my chair. Haha. I dont talk about the R1S delivery 24/7 any longer but there is swag and hats and YouTube video history that will not go away!!

Our Palisade was delivered yesterday and I took a photo of family in the back. Congrats! Both on the Palisade and escaping the self-induced torture of being an RIVIAN R1 reservation holder.

Thank you! But I wish it were that easy…. Rivian and I are still engaged. Marriage is planned for Oct/Dec timeframe.

The Palisade is a placeholder as I prematurely sold my X7 last year right before the August delay was announced.

My family has been working off of one car and renting as needed for business. That has been expensive so since we finally know we need another car for at least 5 months, we got the palisade for MSRP which is a big victory in SoCal.

We will see how depreciation works out given current state of affairs with inflation, insane interest rates and tanking stock market. But at least we can go in our Rivian planned summer adventures with our Palisade.

It may not be what you were planning on for your summer adventures, but if I had to guess, it probably has a little bit more room than the R1S and from what I have read, it rides/handles really well.

The best place to be is a passenger in the second row captains chairs that are Napa, heated and cooled. While the drive is quiet and stable, it is not something you can push and have fun with... If we could have found something EV in stock without a 10K + markup, we would have gone that route. It will be great for our planned summer trips to Ojai for camping, Lake Arrowhead, and our annual summer trip up the 395 with the end destination at Mammoth lakes for 5 days of fishing, hiking and exploring.
