Just wrapped up a 3000 mile trip! Checked out the RAN in Salida. We were able to get a few moderate trails in, camp up high atop Black Canyon in Gunnison, hit Arches in Moab, see cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde, and final night in San Juan Nat'l Forrest! Loving the truck! It's not perfect, but I truly think my issues can and will be addressed.

Charging overall was not too bad. Once I got to Utah, it became a bit more challenging. Just nothing 150Kw or higher anywhere near where we went. Still made the best of it and just did a little more sightseeing in town a couple times.

I enjoyed seeing your trip photos. I’ve never been camping in my life, but I certainly can appreciate the beauty of being out in nature.

Honestly, should give it a try! I will say that the truck made it much easier with the tent and ability to keep food cold, and also cook, using the onboard power.

I had an ICECO 30. It's all that I could find that fits under the Tonneau, but then ended up keeping it in the cab the whole time, haha. Without ice, you really don't need much more space though. It got us through almost a week for things that had to be cold at all times.

So jealous! That is such a great route! I’ve probably been to mesa verde 10 times in my life and I never get tired of it. Just amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah I used the 120v. It'll do 12v too, but I wasn't sure if that system is kept topped off when not driving, and didn't want to risk killing 12v and not being able to start the truck way out in the woods.
Fantastic

A lot of it is things like bugs (can't control AC via app sometimes, vents not where I left them), tonneau jamming, rattle suspension, panels separating. Driveline lash.
Not sure the suspension rattles and driveline lash can be considered bugs. Those don't necessarily seem fixable.

@cjust2006.. thank you for the beautiful photos! Nothing human made can ever upstage "made by nature" wonders. I have zero doubt that if more people ventured outdoors and observed how beautiful our planet is they would certainly take better care of it!

FWIW- I also have the same ICECO 30 12V/120V 32Qt cooler.
I purchased it on Prime Day two weeks ago when it was $100 off regular price. It's a fantastic unit!

We've used it several times on the boat/beach already and even just for grocery shopping so we don't have to rush home as soon as we get groceries/ice cream in the car. We have also used it before/during BBQ get together's to keep beverages frosty with no need for ice.
I ran extensive tests on the unit when it first arrived... I pre-cooled the unit to 34F on AC power then filled the cooler with 18 room temp 20oz Snapple Ice Tea bottles and a bag of frozen Sea Scallops. I then switched it over to DC power. In the 24 hr test the unit stayed between 34F and 36F and drew only 12.2Ah at 12VDC. That particular (home made) battery pack you see in the photo has a 75Ah capacity, so I should be able to run the cooler off it for 5 days or so :)

Highly recommend the ICECO 30 cooler, and I also purchased that particular size (vs. the next larger 43Qt version) because it will fit under the tonneau at just 15" high.

I wasn't strictly naming just bugs... And all of the non-bug things have been addressed and fixed for other people.
