Will I be the only Rivian in New England?

This is a custom job right? Not the Xpel/Rivian template and special pricing? I contacted a shop in Andover about doing the full stealth… but they don’t recommend the template and pricing that Rivian and Xpel came up with… since there’s no color correction or custom wrapping. I just don’t know if $6,500 for the custom is worth the investment… but it would look amazing with our limestone? Rivian price is $4,500.

For the Rivian price, as it was explained to me, if he was charging $4.5k for the full PPF, he can’t afford to throw away a film because he noticed 5 or 6 contaminants during the install. In this scenario, he will be obligated to reduce his standards which he doesn’t want to do.
As a side note, I didn’t get any discounts and payed the full price but wanted to share because I liked his work. I am also guessing that the price for the stealth is different from the clear high gloss film. Something to confirm with the shop.

Thanks! I reached out to them and spoke to Nick, who provided a quote for window tinting and front and bumper PPF for both of my vehicles (R1T and a refreshed X). The price is competitive with Qcare. I think I’ll do the tinting first and then figuring out if I need PPF

There is probably a better place where to post this. Just got it today, I highly recommend. Easy to install/take down and compact packaging. I am new to off roading and over landing so there is maybe a better/cheaper solution out there?

Was at Sandy Neck Beach today. My first “off roading” with the truck. The truck performed flawlessly. I was afraid that the air compressor will overheat but everything went well.
As a side note, we used an AirFryer (5 x 20min) and a fridge (Donetic CFX3 35). During the 6 hours we were there we only used 3%. I think most of it was the AirFryer but I could be wrong. Hope to see more Rivians out there!

I haven’t done it yet but am going to do a modified full front with the guys in Andover. Full front, lower side of doors and top of tailgate.

Nice awning. I didn't get the rack. Would you be able to connect the awning to the tie downs where you attach the rack instead?

They offer multiple attachments. So the awning comes standard with 2 small suction cups and 2 large ones. The suction cups didn’t work that well for the tailgate so I just wrapped the (strong) Velcro that was attached to the suction cup (See picture) to the cross bars. You can probably do the same trough the cross bars anchors or get the magnets (see picture) that they sale as an option and attach it to the top side bed panels. If you end up getting it, I recommend getting the Orange Screws for the sand as well for those gusty days.

So... I got busted for not having an inspection sticker. Wellesley PD officer pulled me over on Rt. 9. Said he'd never seen an R1T in person. Ran my plate and saw that I hadn't had it inspected yet. He gave me a warning and said that it was a really cool truck. My wife and kid laughed at me.

The truck is now inspected. I went to the Mobile station in Brookline, between Coolidge Corner and Brookline Village. The mechanic doing the inspection said that July was he's busiest month. He would rather fix cars than inspect them but inspections are his biggest business, outside of selling gas. He was not shy about saying he didn't like EVs; I told him that I didn't blame him as his way of life is threatened. Then I asked him how he planned to adapt. He just shrugged his shoulders.

Considering that EV's make up less than 5% of the vehicles on US roads, he will be busy maintaining ICE vehicles for quite some time.
The guy who inspected my R1T was thrilled to have one in his garage.
