    I was just off grid this weekend in the white mountains, the search functionality didn't work so I had to zoom into the map and drop a location pin to get it to manually route. If you know the address before hand that would work too.

    I just bought this off Amazon. 2TB Sandisk ultra portable SSD on sale right now. It's waterproof too unlike the Samsung T7 drive. https://a.co/d/bcWV1mx Edit: NVM, Sandisk doesn't list out TBW lifespan for this drive and only has 3 year warranty. So the max endurance SD card is most likely better.

    This happened to me a couple weeks back. Truck slid while charging. The charger housing sheared loose but it still charges..

  4. For those who got R1S (or R1T) at original approximately $78k would you buy one for new price of approximately $93k?

    At the new pricing, I would have started considering a Taco for my truck needs and a luxury sedan as a daily driver.

  5. Half Shaft / CV Joint Noise

    R1T vin 89xx here. I just noticed clicking noise under hard acceleration on high ride height. Previously I've only gunned it in sport mode and low or normal height. I just put a service ticket in so let's see what they say.

    Sounds like they tuned the centering PID controls. Less P value to minimize overshooting from center

    10k on a 100k truck would go down a lot easier than 10k on a Nissan leaf. Especially since it's one of the few wear items

  11. Keeping crossbars on or off -- opinion?

    I leave them on the bed. When putting them on the glass roof by myself, I'm paranoid I'll crack the glass. They can also collapse enough to be stored in the frunk.

    I hand brushed 3 layers of white plastidip on the logo. Let's see how long it holds up

  13. Regenerative Braking and motion sickness

    The Rivian pedal has a pretty long throw compared to other EVs so it is easier to modulate the throttle keep it cruising. I'd suggest test driving the Rivian first before canceling.

    Do you guys think a yellow vinyl overlay would work over the logo area?

  15. Which color will age well?

    I get a lot of compliments on the smurf blue. It's been 3 months and I still have people coming up to me to talk about the truck. Every single time. The lighter colors will probably less susceptible to fading.

  16. Bed mounted vs hitch mounted bike rack?

    I got the Yakima high road but my mtb with 29" wheels barely fit. The front wheels rub against the spoiler and will only fit when mounted on the edge.

  18. AC Blowing into Truck Bed

    It would be better if some of that air went into the Frunk. The frunk can get pretty hot from the batteries/motors.

    Anybody hear anything from the MA Mor-EV truck people yet? It's been about 6 weeks for me and my application is still processing.

  20. Drive and Reverse

    It won't let you shift to Reverse at high speed but you can shift directly into reverse at low speeds without the brake pedal. IMO it should require you to depress the brake pedal to shift into Reverse.
