8th step locked question

Should they rename the 8 steps a 12 step program? To let us know that we are powerless over the urge to check status way too many times a day?

My 8 steps just opened a couple days ago. 8th step locked with the countdown message. Being in the Cincinnati area, the Cleveland service center is only moderately closer than the factory in Normal. I'm a little curious where they'll deliver from.

I got my VIN on 7/12 and my step 8 is still locked but changed to the “Start the countdown” message last Thursday. My guide said last week the truck is in transit and will be in CA 7/28 so the story here is consistent. Would be nice to get more info but hopefully just a few more days.

Any news if your truck arrived today? My guide ghosted me for 2 days and finally replied. Still in transit. Hope to have an update to you by next week.

Any updates on this one? My Guide is OOO til Monday, but kinda curious if my truck is at the El Segundo SC or somewhere in transit still. When I asked before my guide was out they had no more details beyond “a few more days”

Rodney by chance? After messaging him (my guide) all week with no response, I finally contacted CS and they answered my question along with informing me that he is OOO.

No but my guide seams like yours and gives zero info. Did cs tell you where the truck currently was or an eta to the sc?

My guide has been pretty helpful, just would have been nice to receive an OOO notification when trying to message him for the last 2 weeks. Part of me had also considered that maybe some guides were part of the recent layoff.

I am not there yet with my order unfortunately, still in the "waiting for an updated delivery window" message but, CS did confirm that I have not yet received my updated delivery window and that I would be getting an updated one this "summer".

I live 5 miles away. But I've been told they run you off. If anyone gets a window 1st they should snoop.

My guide's name is Rebecca and she was out of the office this week as well - I was afraid she got laid off. She did tell me on Tuesday that the truck would be in El Segundo yesterday (28th). I texted her for an update this morning but haven't heard anything back. The only interesting action was that my Rivian wall charger arrived today. I'll post again if I hear anything.

Congrats! Did your 8th step unlock? Do me a favor snoop around for a green on green with 22 brights if your picking up from the sc.

8th step is still locked unfortunately. Right now I’m not sure if it’s a delivery or me picking it up but if picking it up I most certainly will poke around!

I picked up my truck at El Segundo - but my 8th step opened before they had the new system. It was actually frustrating because I could schedule pickup and my truck wasn't even there yet. Which lead me to a lot of conspiracy theories in my head that something was wrong with my truck when actually it was just poor software implementation.

My guess is that the new system doesn't let you schedule delivery or pickup until it's passed QC at the service center.

It takes about 1-2 days after it arrives for your truck to be ready if there are no problems with it. You can call the El Segundo service center directly and talk to someone if you want.
