Congrats!

I had an up and down day today exchanging text messages with my guide. My guide told me this morning that she had confirmation it had arrived at the service center and she was partnering (her word) with the service center for an update. I responded by asking if she had a date as to when step 8 would unlock. I didn't hear back from her until the afternoon but she responded with a question about something I was having trouble with, so it seemed like she might have responded to the wrong person. I let her know that I wasn't having any trouble just wanted a date for step 8 to unlock. She then told me that she was talking with the service center now. Then a few minutes later she said ETA is 8/22. I texted back asking did that mean delivery to me or the service center, and why so long (earlier in the week she told me it was a few days from arrival at the SC to being ready for delivery)? Since it was about 4:30pm (quitting time) she never replied and I doubt I'll hear back from her for at least a week unless something changes. Frustrating to say the least. I just wish they could actually provide some accurate info for once. I'd almost prefer no contact until they have an accurate date. From reading through the forum, sadly I think this may be typical for delivery status. Anyone else have any updates? Any luck calling the service center directly?

I’ve had unfortunately the same experience. My guide said it was here on Monday and going through inspection. On Wednesday I was told it might arrive at the SC by mid next week. I did try the SC directly to see if she had the wrong info, but no joy.

Did your guide have an explanation for why the information changed? It's here, oh no wait it's not. Maybe next week. ?‍♂

Only that maybe something was wrong or it was updated elsewhere. I stopped prying at that point. Kinda resigned to just leaving it be. We’ll see what next week brings.

Update I was able to call the El Segundo SC and they verified it was there. They didn't give me an eta for delivery. Reach to your local sc they are super helpful.

Update I was able to call the El Segundo SC and they verified it was there. They didn't give me an eta for delivery. Reach to your local sc they are super helpful.
I had a delivery date set up for 8/12 and today (8/6) the SC canceled it based on a paint issue that was discovered at final inspection. Not sure what the timing will be…

I feel like my truck is getting further away each week!

I may try reaching out again to the SC but I’m guessing it won’t matter. I feel like my guide is just making things up each time we chat. I feel your pain. My guide asked me to complete all steps last Wed and that my truck was at the SC. I reached out today and was told still no eta on when I can pick it up.

I was in El segundo at my dentist office this afternoon and decided to swing by and see if they would give me any details. After my frustration on Friday, I got a nice text from my guide Monday morning and she was going to contact the SC to get an update. At 3pm I got contacted by the SC and scheduled pickup at the El Segundo SC at noon this Friday. I’m hoping all goes well and delivery happens on Friday but I’m almost just relaxing into the uncertainty and going with the possibility that the date could change. I was hoping I’d see that others on here waiting for step 8 to open would have posted they they were also getting scheduled. Hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks! I’m picking it up Tuesday. Step 8 is still locked, but I confirmed day/time via text. That said, I have the documents section to finish to get my banks ach letter in there, then wire them some dough. Might be that it won’t change till that’s done now
