I’m a late pre order holder, like only a few months in, but I just was invited to a first mile drive at the Venice Hub. I do have the benefit of living within 3 miles of the Venice hub, so perhaps that helped. I feel like this is way to early for where I am in the que

There’s also a post on Reddit on where it seems like a handful of first miles are being scheduled in SoCal, so perhaps it is just more staff and trucks being available.

Anyone else get an invite for first mile recently? Should I not read into it?

There is no correlation with first mile invites/drives and deliveries, but enjoy your drive! I am almost happy that I haven't received an invite yet because I know it will be that much harder to patiently wait once I get behind the wheel of one :)

No such event in Dallas even though Texas probably has the 2nd most orders after Cali. They might of had one Austin or Houston, i'm not aware...........

I wouldn't read into it. I have a 2018 reservation, went to the first first mile drive in Sonoma and just got invited again to go to the Sacramento First Mile drive. My wife who does not have a reservation, but I signed her email up for rivian updates got invited to the Sacramento First Mile as well.

I am a December 2021 reservation and the Denver Service Center invited me last month for my drive. It was a total blast and YES it makes it harder to wait after you drive it and play with it a bit. If you look at the self reported deliveries spreadsheet here on the forum you will see several people with Oct or Nov 2021 reservations who already have trucks. It seems to be more about configuration than reservation date.

Mind if I ask how far from the service center you're located? I'm ~20 miles and reserved an R1S, but would still like the chance to test drive the R1T.

I'm up in Longmont so it's about 40 miles from me. You should call in and ask. My guide on that drive actually said they are very open for drives now. She said they would even schedule a drive for someone without a reservation right now if asked. You would probably have a good chance of seeing an R1S now too. Seems like they have started to flow through the SC regularly in the past few weeks.

I just got invited to a First Mile Mobile Drive. I scheduled it for next Thursday. They will drive an R1T to my house and perform a brief walkaround followed by a 30-minute drive. I can't wait.

I received a First Mile Event invite last week - over 4 months after I took delivery of my R1T. I’m thinking about doing it anyway just so I can ride theirs hard and put it up wet. :giggle:

Here is my tip after my First Mile drive:

You get 45 minutes. Forget about navigating the screen. Check out the Gear Tunnel, frunk, interior in 5 minutes. Drive it for the next 40 minutes. Time will fly by!!!

Yup. I feel you. I had my First Mile Drive in May and I am not expecting my R1T until 2023 so its going to be crickets for a long time and now I've wet my whistle with R1T and I need. I need!

To quote the greatest actor that ever lived....

I'm so jealous of those who got invited to First Mile drives!

I'm a relatively late pre-order holder (May 2020) and live in a part of the country with no delivery center nearby. As far as I'm aware, no one in my part of the world has gotten a First Mile invitation, and my guess is that there is no chance that I'll be able to get behind the wheel of a Rivian that I do not own.

We are very early adopters (11/28/18) and have never been invited for a First Mile Drive. I think it is simply a matter of geography. We live in the Florida Panhandle about 350 miles from Atlanta. Even though we are far away from any Rivian Service Center, I would have thought that at least an invitation would be in order for a customer who had had an order in for almost four years.

Im a very late Pre-Price-Gate order, January 2022, and I got a invite almost a month ago. I am about 20 miles from the SC
