So, what is the production Currently? Looking at the VINS--unless I am misunderstanding-- it is 3,00 vehicles since this July???
3,000 ish seems accurate. below is the number that Eletrek sited in their article on July 6, after Rivian release their production numbers.

"That brings the total of vehicles produced by Rivian to 7,969 since the start of production late last year."

no update on delivery timeline from my guide :(. Says when inspection is complete SC will text me and open up the delivery scheduling step. My worry is if it is over the weekend, how will i get the bank to wire the money to them. do not want to pre-pay after reading that some people had to wait 4-6 weeks from "car is at SC and is being taken for pre-delivery inspection" stage.

I'm in the same boat. I'm waiting for delivery, too. When I talked to my guide, about payment, and told him I didn't plan to pay until the truck was delivered, he said don't worry about your payment method until you get a call to arrange delivery. You are under no obligation to pre-pay, he said. So, I would just sit tight, until they call you and tell you that your truck is ready for delivery.

I received R1T over the weekend but it has a 59XX VIN which seemingly should have been built a while ago. I got my 8 steps notice on 8/2. How do I locate the build date?
Were you able to locate the build date? I'm waiting for delivery and my VIN is also 62XX (close to yours) - are we both getting older trucks that didn't make it through QA in the earlier pass? lol

Yeah, mine was 7/22, but nothing says that it couldn't have started production well before that and like you said failed QC along the way. I will say after almost 2 weeks I haven't noted any major issues. But reading so many of the terrible service experiences of other members, I am finding it less and less palatable to keep this as my main vehicle.

7/22 isn't that bad - but surprising if they went from 59XX to 11XXX in just a month.

FWIW, mine is a Forrest Green exterior like yours too.

Perhaps a parts constraint that allowed the truck to be substantially completed. Then parked until the part or parts were installed then shipped ?? just a thought

With VIN's still sub 12k with 4 months to go 25k is looking to be a stretch. I know they are adding a shift soon which if they are really at 3k per month would push them over. But I think they aren't near the 3k per month and won't get there without a 2nd shift.

I was and still am concerned about the fairly disappointing increase in presales between the latest quarterly report and the previous one.

25k includes the EDV as well. Keep in mind the R1S has a different sequence and the latest any has said was in the 600s

Edit: Keep in mind the reservation numbers are net open reservations. They have the deliveries and cancelations deducted from the number they are reporting.

Another 113XX here, 8 steps opened today. My config is R1t, GW, BC, 21, crossbar, and powered tonneau. According to the 6/11 email from Rivian, the estimated delivery month was Sep-Oct.

Looks like 50-60 R1T's are coming off the line a day.....they probably need 700/day to make any money or break even.....

You do realize that 700 a day is 218,400 a year, assuming a six day work week.

Absolutely. They won't make any money unless they are are 200K per year plus on the R1T as the sheer cost to produce is ridiculously high. Tesla builds 1221 per day at the Fremont, CA factory alone and is barely at breakeven on a far more efficient assembly and cost basis as opposed to Rivian...

They don't have the capacity to make that many R1Ts at their factory. Total theoretical capacity is 200k between the R1 (T&S) and the EDV.
