eh, if I made 100x what I do right now, it'd be a no-brainer.You would have to have manure for brains to pay $170k for this. Just sayin'
Why not bothIf I made 100x what I do now I'd be shopping for wings and not wheels ?
I’m pretty sure your point was understood lol. Reminds me of that classic line: “Do you agree with me or do you not understand what I’m saying?”In all seriousness my point is that even someone with the means usually doesn't want to over 2x overpay for what will be a common release vehicle. Unless they have pure manure for brains.
The front rotors are huge, high performance brembo calipers. I'm not sure what you are looking at.First time I am seeing the break rotors and am I the only one who thinks those rotors look really small and under spec’d.
I know regen breaking will handle most of the breaking, but in emergency situations those breaks might have a hard time stopping a 7000lb truck
Different perspective. When you have the money, part of the point of having it is to show other people how that money conveys power. Only poor people/losers pay market and wait their turn for things, rich people pay more than it's worth to remind people they can. In their mind they are paying market for the vehicle, and the extra $70k is the cost of flexing your muscle and not having to be common. You would have to have manure for brains to pay $170k for this. The EQS has an MSRP of nearly $130k for an R1S comparable spec, and even then is still not nearly as unique and capable. When production is running smoothly and at full capacity, Rivian could easily add a few thousand dollars worth of luxury comforts to a luxury trim of the R1S and sell it for $130k+.Well maybe not by 2H 2023 in my case when Mercedes has the EQE and EQS SUV and I'm sure a bunch of other luxury 7-seater electric SUVs are on the market. But still, at least some of us locked in the lower prices.
The Brakes* (not "breaks") on Rivians are more than sufficient to stop a significantly heavier R1T at speed with haste and in distances comparable to vehicles that weigh much less. They're actually quite big in person, especially up front. It's a non-issue and borderline sensationalist to claim otherwise. There's no way Rivian would undersize one of the most critical safety systems on this platform for any reason. They worked extremely well without any regen on my First Mile drive in an R1T doing several hard stops in a row without a hint of fade or lack of bite.First time I am seeing the break rotors and am I the only one who thinks those rotors look really small and under spec’d.

Some people don't wait in lines...and they'll pay the fee to avoid it.In all seriousness my point is that even someone with the means usually doesn't want to over 2x overpay for what will be a common release vehicle. Unless they have pure manure for brains.
Imagine if it were 350 more!"mileage: 70"
Imagine the added premium it would fetch if that was 1 mile less.
I know, I wasn't complaining - just making a silly jokeThose 70 miles could be from factory. It is very common. Ask the seller and see what he said about that.
