R1S reserved 12/2021. Originally estimated latter half of 2023, now they're saying Jan 2024-December 2024.

Get this though, my friend who lives 5 miles from me (we both live in Los Angeles), ordered on 4/2022 with almost the same options BUT his has dual motors and his delivery estimate is BEFORE mine (10/2023-12/2023)... so they're prioritizing dual motors over quad motors somehow? They haven't even produced a dual motor version for consumers yet!?!?

I'm in no hurry, so it'll get here when it gets here, but clearly their prioritization system is messed up so we'll see what delivery estimate updates happen in January.

R1Ts clearly will be prioritized and 2022 folks will be getting deliveries first half 23

As excited as I am about the truck, using location as a discriminator is pretty crappy IMHO...

Understand how you feel, but if they had been shipping to locations far away from service centers then the recent recall would have been a hundred times harder to resolve. I know it stinks, but it makes sense.

for max pack orders, the email they got states they may be able to switch to the dual motor + max pack which Rivian is hoping to have ready by summer 2023. is this the "adjustment in our build plan" Tony Caravano mentions in his email?

im shocked they would be prioritizing that right now but i guess since its built in house, lower cost and higher margins.
