What's evident is that distance to SC is definitely coming into play with updated estimates.

We also have a LE LG/FE R1S, but with 21" wheels. Ordered MARCH 2019, pushed from April/May to October/December to February/March. Is Rivian hoping I'll die before delivery to avoid giving me original pricing?

I'm 3/19 too R1S. Now it's estimated April-June 23.

I would be really interested to know how many new pre-orders they are getting. With all this bad Press and delays I'm betting the pool of new reservations is shrinking fast.

I recently preordered (Sept 2022). I was waiting to see if they'd actually ever deliver the R1S. Once they started delivering I decided to reserve. Was hoping that I'd be able to get the car late 2023 but it doesn't look like that will be happening. I didn't really need the car, but if it's not going to be 2023 I'm going elsewhere.

I'm sure others will also cancel with these delays.

Of note the website still says "Deliveries for new orders are expected late 2023." LOL.

Time to put some money in my Gladiator. Unknown delivery date. My bad for living closer to adventure terrain and wanting to go on an adventure. By the time I’m done adding some stuff, may just cancel. For now I’ll let my price locked reservation chill and we’ll see. These trips I’m planning on next summer need to get finalized. I guess who I’m going with will be happier not dealing with my charging needs.

If you want one quicker get rid of the max pack.

This is an R1S. No max pack, Silver with Adventure and 21” tires. I’m seeing people with Fall 2021 order dates getting 2023 delivery. These guys, as well as Lucid & Tesla, have no clue about customer service. They’re all a bunch of novice tech bros learning how to build a car. I actually hope all three go bankrupt and normalcy returns. The only thing they’ve distributed is professionalism and transparency in the car buying process.

I had Oct-Dec estimate new one is Apr-June 2023. I'm sick and tired of Rivian, going to look for other options.

Depending on your needs, there aren't very many options yet. My estimate is also Apr-June 23, Jan 19 Res holder.

I wonder how this delay would impact the tax credit “work around” (i.e., signed contract) that we did previously. My maxpack is now jan-dec 2024 like everyone’s.

PS: i noticed, powered tonneau cover is still in my config.
