So I'm a February 2019 LE reservation, FE/FG. Just got moved from Oct-December to Feb-Mar 2023.

What dates - R1S ONLY - did people get this fine Friday? Is anyone still on track for 2022? What are OC and FE seeing?

This is disheartening, but compiling the data here will help us understand what's going on.

Oct-Dec now bumped to Feb/March. This is old. I read all these posts about people bitching on Rivian communication, ‘sOOn’ and such and just sit back - I’m in the camp of ‘want it, don’t need it’ so have been patient. But I got to tell you, getting that update makes me want to jump ship (or rather buy something else, get and flip the Rivian at my pre price-hike deal). Getting harder to support them by the day

They want us to jump ship is my guess. Not enough production, we are $20,000 under current price. This may have something to do with how they handle us. Pre-order 2/3/19, LE

I'm a fairly early pre-order at 2/2020 and standard config. Silver, BM, Adventure, 21's. I'm in Denver with a service center and my delivery estimate just bumped from 1st half 2023 to Jan-Dec 2024. I'm pretty shocked that such an early pre-order would now be in 2024. It makes me wonder if I'm blacklisted for some reason because I have two orders?

Was H1 2023, now Apr-Jun 2023. Nov 2020 reservation, Black Mountain interior, never changed my configuration.

All in all this seems like "good" news to me. First delivery estimate that didn't move backwards. Progress.

Instead of getting more accurate, we now have a whole year, Jan~Dec 24, as the delivery window. I am 11/21 preorder with 2H2023 to 2024 as noted. Am in SoCal and less than 20 minutes of Irvine HQ and CM service center.

Just how bad is the ramp up at Rivian?

Started out saying that they can fulfill all the original backlog - roughly 50K by the end of 23. Then it was changed to total production, R1 and EDV, of 25K. Based on new dates, looks like it's another year of 25K?

If I were to guess, Rivian is placing EDV as the priority for Amazon and they probably make more profit (versus break even or loss on R1) by doing so. Whatever the ramp up is, it's focused on EDV and not R1 in 2023, as they look to be profitable by 2024. It also makes their statement of having enough cash on hand to start GA production in 2025 a suspect.

Earnings call on 11/9 should be interesting as analysts will surely ask about the 2023 production forecast. Given across the board delay on deliveries announced today, it raises lot of questions.
