I put in a pre-order deposit for a Cadillac Lyriq today as an insurance policy. It's projected to be available 3-6 months before my R1S that has been on order for well over a year.
I too have a Lyriq and also a Silverado EV on order. Will be a race to see what becomes available first. My preference is the R1T, but it’s going to be close.

Just like many of you, I’m disappointed at their decision to delay. But this country is headed to a recession that is worse than 2009. So this might be a blessing. Many will loose their jobs. New England states, are going to see their electricity bills triple.

example: National grid, currently at .114 per kwh. November 1st, .342 per kwh

God bless us all, & Rivian.

Same here, 2024 no month.

Well I'm in the list since Jun 2019 and sincerely I was not expecting less than that. Canada was never a priority.

So I am always trying to see the bright side of things:
- Version 2.0 of the automatic Tonneau cover may be out.
- There may be a new camp kitchen available
- I will get a 2024 truck with the 2018 price.

For now, I am enjoying the Tesla Y I bought to wait for the rivian, so no rush.

Let’s all remember these are
Wow so they are prioritizing R1T over R1S. My R1S was ordered in October'21 and delivery estimate is in Q4'23.
Who knows what they are actually doing, but my guess is it’s not a matter of prioritizing aside from their early focus on delivering Ts, which simply allowed them to dig into the list of those orders first. Since they started on the S later it stands to reason they wouldn’t be as far down that list.

When I placed my order in 12/21 they would only tell me that I would *not* take delivery in 2022, which is fine because I never expected that. If you look at the list of deliveries here in the forum there are people who ordered after me who already got their trucks, so no one really knows WTH is going on??‍♂

I hope the estimate is wrong and you get yours sooner than they say!

@SACDF JC - same here, went from a 2nd half '23 to end of '24 delivery. I was OK with later next year but adding an ENTIRE YEAR..... ? This is for an R1S. I will keep waiting but will be watching to see what other EV choices become available in the next TWO YEARS

Order Jan 2020, last window was OCT-DEC, so I guess it could be worse. It kills me (and is cool at the same time) whenever I see a Rivian driving around my neighborhood.

Rivian R1T R1S ? Estimated Delivery Date Window is LIVE! What’s Yours?! ? Screenshot 2022-10-29 074310

Being a very early Rivian adopter (order on November 28, 2018), we are disappointed by our new R1T delivery window of Jan-Dec, 2024. The email letter that we received tells us that our order will not be filled until there is a Rivian Service Center in our area. When that will occur, who knows. We live in a very unpopulated area of the western Florida Panhandle. We are far enough out in the Panhandle that we are in the Central Time Zone.

What is Rivian's definition of "in our area"? As we do not live within 100 miles of any city that is over 100,000 population, this may not happen for a very long time.

Brian
As I write this I’m probably pretty close to you, as we have a second address in Miramar Beach.

Being close to a service doesn’t seem to help, as I got the same reply although I’m less than 5 miles from an active service center.

I think part of the problem may be people making these decisions at a granular level who don’t know anything about geography of the US, outside of their neighborhood.

This was a bit of an issue early on with Tesla. I had an issue with slowish charging on a Tesla supercharger (less than a mile from my house) when it first opened. I called the customer service number on the charger, and got a quick pleasant connection to a real, friendly person in California. I explained the issue, said I was at the Memphis Supercharger and spelled Memphis. He asked “is that in California?”

I said “no, it’s in west Tennessee.”

He answered “Ahh, OK. What’s the nearest city?”

I have been oh so curious about a service center in either Nashville OR Birmingham. Since I’m stuck in the middle.

I know it’s all about location more than when you ordered any more but come on Huntsville rocket city. It’s not in the absolute middle of nowhere. It’s close but not quite?.
There won’t be an Alabama service center until the state auto franchise laws are changed

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!

3.5 YEARS, 41.5 MONTHS, 291 WEEKS AND 1,264 days from order to delivery - MAYBE! Oh, and I guess now I can expect more delays quarterly.

This is the FOURTH time I've been pushed back the delivery. I NEVER CHANGED my configuration. I have made plans based on EVERY ONE of your erroneous delivery windows. I have cancelled those plans FOUR TIMES.

And as an additional insult - you are using my $1,000 interest free for 3.5 years.

What kind of auto company do you ever expect to be IF YOU CAN'T BE TRUSTED?

Rivian obviously doesn't care about those of us who trusted you FROM THE BEGINNING (order date 04/14/20 most recent window July/September 2023). Rivian would rather make money with their corporate clients and simply screw the people who have been supporters. Rivian's continued lies are getting OLD!
